The weight of the squeeze link? I ordered one - haven't yet used it - and in the envelope it arrived in it weighs..............almost nothing!
The Park master link pliers are nice but I will be carrying the Squeeze Link with me when I ride.

So it's too wide for 10-speed, just right for 9 . . . seems like it would be OK for everything wider than 9--like 5, 6, 7, 8 and also fixie chains, right?

I wondered the same thing when I saw it. While I agree that it is ingenious and a great tool, any road repair that I can think of would involve pushing a pin to remove a broken link.
Breaking a chain for me is usually to replace or clean a chain, or to replace a derailleur. If I don't have a spare RD, I don't think I'll need a means to break a quicklink.
I can see taking this on a tour to pack with a hypercracker and a fiberfix spoke, but not for keeping in a seat bag.

I agree that its an ingenious design of the "why didn't I think of that" category. People on very long tours who want to take their chain off for deeper cleaning, flipping, whatever after X miles might find it useful.
I have a tiny no name multi tool pliers that I can squeeze the link by folding out one of the tools on each handle and pressing it together I take on tour. Seldom have I done it, except after riding limestone trails for hundreds of miles.

Its a small idea that is just waiting to be appropriated by some multi tool maker.

Great idea, but the guy said it was made for 9 speed chains. Wanted to buy one from him, but I need this thing to work on 7 and 8 speed chains.
Never had an issue to remove Sram link by hand, unless it was very dirty. Will make one tomorrow

Pretty cool idea but I can tell you that won't work for the KMC 11 speed missing links. They are much too tight.
