I may sound a bit childish, or even stupid (yes, I know you will have a response to this, Expat), but what is a tat gun? I am hoping you are not tattooing yourself.

Clever you. Yup, got the whole kit. I've been drawing and taking art classes since I was 4 (that was 33 years ago, if anyone's wondering) and now I'm trying a new media.

You should tattoo your kids instead of yourself, so if you screw up it won't be on your skin.

Looks like I can still take boring photos even with some fancy old rangefinder

These Walgreens scans are probably the worst scans I've ever used... At least sams club doesn't 'auto-enhance' the pictures and make them look like ****. Forgot my card to get in the store today, though, and didn't want to wait.

The lightning is cool. It usually comes with rain here, and I don't feel like getting wet, so I've only ever gotten one photo of lightning.
Got some of the shots from Colorado scanned, taken on Velvia 100 and 70-210mm lens.

The moonrise was amazing today, I took a couple shots on B&W film but I don't know how they'll turn out.. I should stay up or get up early for the sunrise, it'll probably be nice.

I go through more film now since it's all I have, I shot 7 rolls in the past 5 days with the M3. Not anywhere near what a lot of people probably do, but I have to pay for the processing too, and I'm poor
Velvia is pretty rough, but I'll use more of it. It's too dense for my projector, anything resembling a shadow is black. Astia projected pretty well. Provia seems really good, saturated but the contrast isn't too high, I see why everyone seems to like it.

Did you get much use out of the film I sent you? I don't recall what slide film I shot in New Zealand, but it had some crazy long tonal range. I'll use some more this winter, since it held detail in the highlights really well. Of course, then I need to find a competent printer.

If you like taking photos, then get a decent camera and a book, and learn, it's a lot of fun.
Check Ebay for a Pentax K1000 or Canon AE1, preferably with a 50mm lens. Manual focus, but they have light meters and are reliable. Then just go get some film from Walmart, and go use it.
