I agree actually. Eastern is a pretty established company, they wouldn't roll out a bunch of completes with technology that was too weak or dangerous. I think. It's a way to lighten the frames without increasing the cost too much, and apparently without losing much structural strength.

Plus it comes with the gyro that he wanted, which can always be switeched to a straight cable later on, it's got a smaller gearing set up with a cassette, an integrated headset, sealed BB, and pegs.

Well for now I'm going to just fix my haro. I'll order some bars and breaks and get my rims trued. And fix a few other things for little $. My bike is still in decent shape. The crank/frame/forks are still really solid. I'm stll hoping to get a new bike, but I am not getting any hours at work and am low on $...

I have 14mm axels and I'm not sure what kind of freewheel to get or if I'm getting the right size. Please send me a link.

The thread was deleted or locked. Either way the mods over there didn't like all the bashing. There have been a few people thinking they were clever enough to post fake Ti grim bike checks it's ammusing. That's the joy of bikeguide. Kid's that spend every penny on their bike but yet hate on the kids whose parents help them do so. Priceless.

One of my good friends has an Eastern hub...he's rough as hell on it and doesn't take care of his bike and it still runs smooth. The rim is another story.

That my friend...is beacuse you weren't here when we started talking about the frame. And the thread about the Ti Grim was on Bikeguide another not-as-cool bmx forum.

Would that fit on my 14mm axel? Also should I get the one thats $8.99 or $19.99? I'm sorry if I seem dumb... It's because I am.

and if I have a 14t cassette will I be able to put on just a freewheel, or do I need to buy a cassette?

A while back, I purchased an Eastern Traildigger complete (mistake) and no more than 2 months of riding, the rear hub *blew up*. My neighbor had also bought an Eastern Metalhead and no more than a month of riding, the rear hub *blew up*. I wouldn't recommend one.

Don't worry about your axel, and there is no such thing as a 14t cassette. Also, why didn't you tell us your cog in your hub was 14t in the first place? Get this: https://www.danscomp.com/461003.php?cat=PARTS

There are 14t cassetes, profile and Odyssey i think make them. And don't get that freewheel because it's for 3/32" chains and to my knowledge, ours are 1/8". Unless did he say it was a race bike?

What year is it...you might have a cassette if it's a newer one.
