My father recently passed away and we found this in his garage. It is in fairly good condition. There is some rust, but it seems to be mostly on the surface. I hope the photos help in evaluating.

I'm very sorry to hear about your loss. The bike is in very nice condition and touring bikes tend to hold their value well. The frame though is only chrome moly main tubes. A lot depends on where you live (vintage bikes tend to command higher prices in larger cities). I'd start the bike at $300 on craigslist and go down periodically until it sells.

Check to make sure the stem and seatpost are free. Smart buyers will want this information, put it in the ad.
Sorry for your loss. Nice bike though! A true touring bike although a bit lower-end than most from that period. I think $300 is a fair price and would start there as well.

OK, thank you. The stem is where the handlebars attach? That part at the center of the handlebars that you can raise or lower. Yeah, I don't know much about bikes and the parts. I'm good at putting air in and riding. About everything else goes to the bike shop.

Also raise the seat before posting photos of it for sale. It will look better that way, and it ensures the seatpost is free.
