Wright Saddle

The asking price on this Hercules bike is $25. The craigslist picture was pretty small but I could make out a leather saddle. The seller sent me an updated picture which is attached. At this price, is it worth getting the bike just for the Saddle?

I just noticed that you can't make out the saddle in the picture. Here is a close up view.

Yes and that is also the case with the cottered crank set. Better hurry. A bike like that can sell at any time, particularly if is just recently listed.

I really just want the saddle for myself. But this does bring up another question.. Would it be best to clean up the bike and sell (with a different saddle) or just strip and sell the parts?

Swap saddles and clean the bike up, ensuring it is safe to ride. If that does not work, then part it out, however...

Take the time to investigate the value of the cottered crank set. It might be worth more than the whole bike. I said might but it is worth a look, just in case.

Thank you! Now time to explain to my wife why there is another bike in the garage...
