Trek Alpha 4900...
Knowing little about old mountain bikes but thinking this clean old Trek was worth snapping up at a yard sale, so I snapped. I have no idea about value and was wondering if anyone would care to guess. I don't plan to keep it and it will likely sell on my local Kijiji.
Anyway, the bicycle is in great shape cosmetically and mechanically. I would venture to say that it has seen little use. Any ideas on value would be appreciated...

2003 WSD, perhaps? https://archive.trekbikes.com/au/en/...900wsd/details
If it is the WSD (Women's Specific Design) model in 16" size, look for a sticker or decal on the seat tube to confirm.
Assuming it is, I'd play up that angle in your copy: Frames designed for women's proportions - longer legs & shorter reach primarily - that are more comfortable than frames designed around men's proportions.
MSRP new is $570. In my area, a 15 year old Trek 26" MTB with front suspension is ~$175-200 USD, fully tuned, cleaned, needed parts replaced & ready to go this time of year as the season starts to wind down. In a hot market and/or earlier in the season, maybe $250. As always, YMMV.

Real nice women's bike with great curb appeal but it's a mid level MTB as presented basically ready to ride about 250 CAD.

The issue is no longer a concern. My youngest grand daughter took one look, laid claim and now I need to install one more hook under the cottage.
Thanks for offering opinions. I was going to sell the bike, here or locally, for $150.00 CND and figured it would sell quickly at that price.

Hi, was this sold? If not, where are you located?
Usually, I live in Thunder Bay but spend my winters in Jamaica. This year, of course, is different and at the moment, I am self isolating in Winnipeg, before heading back to Thunder Bay.
