Help with a Vintage Eddy Merckx Bike
Hi all,
I have a vintage eddy merckx bike which im going to sell. Does anybody know anything about this model. I cant find a model label nor can i find a serial number on the bottom bracket. There is a number on the rear dropout which is 735 . I think that it may have a 0 in front. I would appreciate any information which will help me sell it.
Thank you

Licensed Eddy Merckx branded bike, most probably built by Falcon for the UK domestic market in the mid 1970's, (headlight bracket on fork).
A tiny bit of interest in those due to the name. That interest rarely translates into an increase of value compared to a bike of similar spec and condition.
Front wheel looks pretty rough. For safety's sake make sure there is enough of the stem in the fork, there may be a limit line, if there is not I would keep 75 mm inserted, the stem looks on the border.

What is the rear derailleur? If it is Sachs, then I had the same bike, but in a smaller size. I could be made by Kessels or Falcon, but info is pretty scarce. After a long overhaul, I sold mine for about 220.

I would think a fair price would $125-150 as is. Nicely cleaned up and fully overhauled new expendables tires brake pads cables and all bearings done and rust issues treated. I would say $200-225. As said above the bike is licesnsed department sporting good store bike most likely made by falcon.
