Is that Avocet a model prior to the Racing 1? Any idea when they were made?

No info about it, other than it came off a mid 80's Trek 400

It's a "Racing I" model, mid-80s vintage by the logo style. "Racing II" was identical to "Racing" except slightly firmer padding, and "Racing III" was identical to "Racing II" except for having aluminum rails rather than steel.
