WTB 19" Frameset for daughter

So after trying to get my 12 year old interested in a road bike her mother decided she wanted the 19" shogun frame i had set aside for herself. When my daughter got to see how much fun her mom was having on her Shogun and getting to test ride it she finally decided that she wants a road bike to replace the flat bar 1x8 Hardrock she's riding now. So...

I am in search of a 19" up to 50cm frameset. Nothing fancy, I'm thinking along the lines of a mid to late 80's Schwinn Le Tour, Shogun or similar that has room for 27x1 1/4 or 700x32 tires. Alloy frame would also be fine, but steel frames should at least be 4130 DB or better. Nothing that requires a claw mount derailleur please. Would be nice to find a touring frame like the Shogun I built up with lowrider fork mounts and rear rack mounts. I have a good selection of caliper and cantilever brakes so either would be fine. Nice paint with minimal damage also a plus.

Trying to keep the cost of this project down so if I can find something in the $100 (shipping included) range it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for your help!

I've got a 48cm Centurion Ironman Expert that I'm trying to find a home for. The tire clearance may be a bit limited. It's got 700x23 on it right now. I'm not sure how wide it can go. Here's a picture of it before I cleaned it up. The paint isn't perfect, but it's a little better than it looks here.

Oh wow.
Could you measure the chainstay clearance and let me know? I'm sure it won't fit 32mm but I'd like an idea of what max would be.

when it comes to tire size....remember this is a 12 year old....and can probably get by with skinnier tires than 32 just because of weight..... my guess based on bikes i had of similar vintage is that 25 is max....but will probably be proven wrong

I still have this 52cm Centurion frame/fork. This one uses 700C for both front and rear wheels:

True enough and it will probably wear 28mm when initially built as she is small but having the option if available can open possibilities without having to go N+1 sooner than necessary.

I think that was actually called a 46cm (measured center-to-center). I'm not sure how the difference in fit is, but that small front wheel seems like a great option for a frame this size if it fits. Geometry for both this one and the 48cm I posted above can be found here: https://vintage-centurion.com/literat...on_Catalog.pdf

Sure. I've got it fully built right now with original (105) components. I'll give it a measure when I get home.

As previously mentioned in the centurion thread the measurement is 47.65cm C-T

I’ve got a nice Trek 750 hybrid lugged frameset size 47cm from 1990. More than enough room for 700x32c tires. I’d intended to build it up as a gravel tourer for the wife but she hasn’t shown interest. All possible braze-ons available, including mid-fork. It’s a beautiful medium blue. Double-butted chromoly throughout. Same frame dimensions as the 520 of the same year.

I measure 38mm at the chainstays and ~36-37mm at the top of the fork. I had some wheels with 700x28 tires sitting in the garage, so I gave them a test fit and, as the numbers would lead you to expect, they fit comfortably. I tried to take some pictures, but it's hard to get a clear perspective on a shot like this with a phone camera. Here's what I got.

That pic of the fork looks tighter to me than it appears in person.

Thank you but even though I get the benefits of this design for shorter riders I think I'll pass on this one.

@Andy_K PM incoming shortly.

Everyone else please let me know what else is available as I have decided that I might as well go ahead and pickup a frameset for the youngest daughter while I'm at it so I need more to choose from
