sounds like the Fairfax swap last spring. the flippers showed up but the buyers went elsewhere. worse is the fact that I'm getting "buyers" here that flake out... most are newbies but at least one is a 20K plus post veteran. sad.

That would 100% be the thing to do if the bike was a smaller size like a 52cm. With it being a larger size, I'm wondering if many prospective buyers would be sized out, so to speak.

The guy who bought it was torn between turning it into a wall hanger or shipping it back to his family in Italy. He said finding them with original paint is so incredibly difficult.
