Bikes: Mostly English - predominantly Raleighs

I don't think that's Italian. Was going to say that from the thinning of the lugs, it looked like a nice model, but then I saw the rear brake mount, and I'm not so sure. Probably from an English maker, judging from the wraparound style of stay treatment. Can you tell what diameter seat post it takes?

Public safety announcement: Lower that handlebar stem before it breaks off and kills someone.

I concur w/ Zorro.

Other dimensions of interest would be:
1) Seat tube outer diameter, likely 28.6mm, but 28.0 would indicate French or Swiss
2) Bottom bracket shell width, likely 68mm, but 70 would indicate Italian
3) BB threading: 1.375x24 for English, 35x1 for French for Swiss, 36x24 for Italian
4) Closeups of the dropouts would be helpful, as well

Capo made a Modell Campagnolo, but note the spelling difference and the ornate lugwork

Bikes: Several, mostly not name brands.

The frame looks English, as others have noted. The Roto bottom bracket shell is somewhat unusual, though. The chrome fork could be a replacement, unless the crown is Roto as well (hard to tell from the picture). What are the dropouts?

Normally a plate bridge would indicate lower quality. However, the brake and chainstay bridges look to me like somebody spent some time making the cutouts. The lugwork looks nice too. I'm saying it's a high quality handbuilt.

Bikes: Yes, please.

It's a Gazelle Champion Mondial. Much nicer than a Colnago.

+1^ Gazelle, he beat me to it. That plate style bridge with other quality clues gives it away.

Beat me to it, you don't see many Roto shells.
My guess is Benelux.

I bought it for €50,- (about 56 dollar), so there is no need to regret my purchase?
I'm a dutch man living in Vienna, Austria so I think it's kinda cool having a vintage dutch bicycle!

No, not that I've ever seen... only Gazelle. They made several different styles of butterfly brake bridges over the years.

My NOS 1972 Gazelle "A" frame with a "butterfly" brake bridge:

The bike in this velobase.com link has the same fork as the OP's except that it's painted not chromed:

VeloBase.com - Bicycle Model

Note: in Germany Gazelle had to change the name from Champion Mondial to just Champion.

Here's a great website on Gazelles:

Webklik.nl - the original Gazelle Champion Mondial

for that price you "stole it", congrats! Now you can afford to put a little money into cleaning and touching up all the paint chips, and replace that insulting Colnago decal with a set of Gazelle graphics!
