Sunday 'good eye' challenge: Campy ID?

Sorry about the awful, small picture collage. I'm thinking of driving to get this bike, but it's three hours away.
If it's Campy stuff, it's worth it. If low end Japanese stuff...meh. I'm kind of afraid the calipers are lower quality. Look familiar.

Crank kind of look like Triomphe? But I'm no pro.

Looks like a Victory/Triomphe crankset, brake levers look older Euro jobbers, brake calipes look like Monoplanars maybe? Rear derailleur looks like Triomphe but don't put money on it but I'd put a few bucks on black and let it ride.

Hey guys, I got some better pictures. Only thing I'm not sure on is the brakes and levers. It will likely affect my offer on the bike. I understand the parts aren't great.

That's a Victory crankset and front derailleur. I'm not sure what the other stuff is. For what it's worth, Victory is an excellent and underrated group.

EDIT: Actually, that looks like a Croce d'Aune rear derailleur. Sure looks wacky.

Celeste Bianchi's are always worth a drive, in my opinion.

Ya, Victory & Croce. The brakeset looks like a Dia-Compe Aero Gran Compe. A Grail part for me. The brake pads are rare & expensive though.

Here's a link.

Picked up the bike today. Happy with the frame, just wondering if anyone could confirm these parts. I'm 90% sure they bike would've come with all Croce d'Aune, but who knows what happened since then. Obviously the brakes were changed for whatever reason.

I should've mentioned that the reason I know the brakes aren't original is that there is paint where the brakes attach have marks from previous calipers.

Close-ups are awesome, but how about a pic of the complete bike?! What is the frame, Cromor?

I take it back, that's not a Victory front derailleur. It looks more like Croce d'Aune.
The hubs look like Victory/Triomphe, but could even be Athena. A shot of the skewer nuts would confirm.

Thanks. I was thinking CdA for the FD also, but wanted confirmation. I'll add more varied pics of the hubs.

Turns out I can barely make out a AGC marking on the first caliper pictured, so I guess you're right about Aero Gran Compe. I've actually got some random Dia Compe hoods that I pulled off a bike. They definitely didn't fit the levers they were on... Here's hoping they fit these.

Are most caliper springs universal? These have kind of rusted out.

I think the hubs are Athena (judging by the skewer nuts), I'm guessing the wheelset was upgraded at some point. Sure wish I had the original Croce d'Aune hubs. I'm guessing the wheelset was tubular and therefore the original owner changed it out.

As requested, here is a photo. It turns out to be a 1990 Mondiale. Year is stamped in BB as 90c. Chrome stay.
I've definitely got my work cut out for me, lol.

Well at least it's a mondiale. Good luck with the rebuild! What are those blue marks all over the frame? Paint or some kind of sticker?

Looks like "Aero Gran Compe" calipers. Replacement pads are unobtainium, but Modolo shoes fit and accept other manufacturer's pads.

Now that Im viewing the bike on my computer instead of my phone I can see that they are blue geckos stickers. The rest of the paint looks amazing so hopefully they are just covering little chips? I think this is going to turn into one beautiful bike. Don't worry about keeping the saddle original though, lol!

They were painted on. Original owner must've customized it. I got them all off and left one as an homage to the original rider. Paint is fantastic. I just need to get some frame saver for the inside.

ARRRGGGGGHHHHH ! ----- i saw this bike on CL (i live in Norman) -- then promptly ignored it because i looked at the torn up seat and riser stem !

FACE SLAP - big FACE SLAP !

But------ its awesome that you got a decent deal for your diligence and trouble --- i genuinely hope you get some good rides out of it ----- From the tone of the original owner's value - (well, maybe not the OG owner, but the crew you bought it from - LOL) inquiry post, it doesnt sound like the bike was properly appreciated in the hands it was in
