Not sure if I need to reshuffle the deck, just let me know if needed.

noglider 12-06-16 05:57 PM

No, I sent him my normal address, and I'm home in NYC. Thanks.

Yeah, I figured I needn't worry. After all, you're a Crapmaster Emeritus.

:D

Your welcome on the tin box

Yea, tho two last forays yielded
Lowly fruit, spare in number but rich
In quiet blasphemous oathes
Best left from humble verse,
Yea, even as victorious crap siftings
Grow more distant, yet still
I do not rest in my labours, and so
Do request yet another addition,
Another round of defeat
Nay! Victory! Sprung from my rightful
Place among those willing
To brave the Box O' Crap.

I'm not a Box O' Crap participant; however, I find your free verse to be quite humorous.

.

Front Cyclone-

Well thats a bummer. Common for that derailleur. I replaced one on my Trek, pricey devil acquired from ebay. Triple capable. Though the one removed was actually broken when acquired, I installed it that way and was lucky to get away with it.

Depending where the break is on your's, perhaps you can swap out any good parts from mine. Welcome to have if you think its worth salvaging.

Repeatedly the multiple recidivist is bound
Once again to the manifest
Abstaining from profane utterances,
Verily the Crapmaster hearkens
Those that cry out
"Box O' Crap, be thine!"

All it takes is to ask...

And $18.75 in postage to send it to next on the list...

Have you no crap?

1.) Yes, I have lots of crap.

2.) I have no postage funds; Spent the balance of it on crap. (See line 1.)

"It was the best of crap, it was the worst of crap."
- Charles Dickens, A Tale of Two Boxes of Crap

"It is a truth universally acknowledged that a single man in possession of a good fortune must be in want of some crap."
- Jane Austen, Pride and Prejudice and a Box of Crap

"Quaff, oh quaff this kind nepenthe and forget this lost Lenore!
Quoth the Raven “Crap.”
- Edgar Allen Poe, The Raven of Crap

"Some men get the world, some men get ex-hookers and a trip to Arizona. You're in with the former, but my God I don't envy the crap on your conscience."
- James Ellroy, LA Crapfidential

"Nowadays people know the price of crap and the value of nothing."
- Oscar Wilde, The Crap of Dorian Grey

My take:
http://i227.photobucket.com/albums/d...n/IMG_5196.jpg

Funny how much of this stuff I remember from the last go-round. Funny how I want it now and I didn't want it then. But even in the world of old bicycle crap, our needs and wants change so rapidly over time.

noglider, I've missed the mail run for today, but have labeled and instructed my underlings here to send it out tomorrow, Should get to you on 13 Dec.

There's still some pretty good crap in the box, as well as lots of really crappy crap.

zze86 12-12-16 07:42 AM

Aww...getting so close...

zze86 12-12-16 12:40 PM

Woop! Woop! Sign me up!

I have read the rules and will abide by them.

noglider 12-15-16 10:56 AM

I apologize for letting my life getting in the way of my commitment here. You can believe me when I say I'd rather be playing with crap, but I've been clearing out my recently deceased mother's home, also my childhood home, until late in the nights.

I'll move the crap along and post pictures tomorrow.

The box arrived on time on the 13th.

Jadesfire 12-15-16 11:02 AM

Family, and all the attendant issues, takes priority. That is certainly more important than the box.

Still not sure why I can't get images to load. I am going to experiment with the premium membership to see if that makes a difference. In the meantime here is a link:

Betty comic strip from 12/16

It sums up the attraction of the B.O.C. pretty well I think.

I downloaded it and then put it in my flickr feed. That's very appropriate!

I sent the box along to Jadesfire on Friday, December 16. The ETA is Wednesday. There was -- and is -- some funny stuff in that box.

I can't post pictures now, so I'll do that later.
