Google Photos is clunky for this purpose, but it's what I use. I first put the pictures to post into an album that is shared with the world. Then when I display a picture I want to post, I right-click on the image and choose "Copy image address." That puts the picture's URL into my paste buffer. Then on bikeforums, I either click the icon for image or I put in the image code myself.
OK, testing your google photos approach: https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/R5...A=w479-h638-no hey, it worked - Thx! what had not worked repeatedly for me was using Google's standard interface of "Share/Get link/Copy link." |

If I understand the question correctly, this will be my fifth time the box makes a stop at my house.
Multiple Recidivist 5 rating it is! |

yeah, I discovered these are quite rare and expensive. The return spring is broken on this one, so it doesn't take up chain slack. If anyone needs it for parts, the pulleys are in very good shape, and it can be had for the price of shipping.

guys just use imgur for pics.
i use flickr because i've had an account for over 10 years, but yes, it's a little convoluted in terms of finding the actual picture link to put in the img tags. but imgur gives you the actual bbcode to copy & paste. |

[MENTION=152773]noglider[/MENTION] called the process clunky, and it is (yeah, all those pics I put in my build threads? A PITA labor of love, believe me!). But this dog's too old to learn new tricks ;) Flickr 'til the day I die. DD |

I'm with Double D. I use Flickr because that's where a lot of other bicycle people (particularly C&V types) post their pics. I follow a lot of people, others follow me, and there's a pictorial exchange of ideas. I can upload in view in high resolution, and add a lot of text to the pics. That and I've got a ton of pictures there already.

I AM BECOME CRAP, DESTROYER OF BOXES
https://i.imgur.com/ikVnn1b.jpg I'm wondering if the aluminum frame is getting too banged up to fulfill its purpose. The box is more like a football at this point. I freshened it up before I sent it back out. https://i.imgur.com/jHyDSPA.jpg The crap level has reached a new low. Not just a dork disc, but a broken dork disc. https://i.imgur.com/goDoZ1m.jpg apparently i like shifters. |
Well thank goodness one dork disk arrived unscathed.......
http://i931.photobucket.com/albums/a...psbrue0pva.jpg BOC was received last night. I was a little busy reorganizing my shop last night, so with much anticipation I will be going through it tonight and should have it on its way to [MENTION=399889]vtchuck[/MENTION] tomorrow. |
Folks, please post the dates you SHIP the box as well as RECEIVE the box (Rule 7). This helps keep track of the Crap.
[MENTION=448351]zze86[/MENTION] and [MENTION=129353]Falcon3[/MENTION] are hereby ordered by The Crapmaster to do penance. Since this is a venial sin, and this being an ecumenical game, I shall give you a choice of: a) 5 prophet's prayers b) Pick 3 from The Suggestions that will make a stranger smile, and perform them, soon. |
To be fair I had that the info on my oriGinal post, but removed it when I added the photos. I will pay penance in the above amounts, as well as flagelate myself on the indoor trainer on a perfectly nice day where I could be outside.

Oh, but to ride on the trainer on a perfectly nice day is a sin unto itself. If you feel the need for pain, follow this one from The Suggestions: "Go for a one-hour ride underdressed sometime, because it's good to be really cold on a bike every now and then"
Box was received in excellent condition. The steel liner is a big improvement over the 1st time I played and the box received was not really a box at all. |
