I bumped into this frame today.
frame colnago (Sold from Italy)
Nothing seems to quite match my expectations.
Maybe a Colnago Sport?

Looks like a very nice frame. Can't offer anything on particular model though. Late 80s early 90s?

Late 70's is more the mark I think. I saw that one and it didn't particularly light my fire, particularly at the seat cluster. Did they make Sport that early?

I'm guessing it is from the late 70's or early 80's.
80's/90's features:
Several features don't look very Colnago like:
Some of those features have shown up in Colnago Sport frames, I think, which are the low-end Colnago frames of the era. But, then the Decals would be wrong.
80's/90's features:
- Front Derailleur Hanger
- Downtube water bottle bosses (but lacking seattube bosses).
- minimal slope on fork crown.
- Clover only on fork crown (no "Colnago")
- Concave Seatstay ends
- Long Dropouts (No Campagnolo markings on them)
- Above Bottom Bracket Cable Routing (it doesn't quite look like a Campagnolo guide though).
Several features don't look very Colnago like:
- Bottom Bracket is very non-Colnago like (even if it says Colnago on it)
- As noted above, the dropouts aren't marked either Colnago or Campagnolo, and the bottom bracket cable guide doesn't quite look like it is Campagnolo.
- Cutouts in lugs are not clovers.
Some of those features have shown up in Colnago Sport frames, I think, which are the low-end Colnago frames of the era. But, then the Decals would be wrong.

I think "phony" but somebody went to some trouble to fake it: wrong style lugs, 3 TT cable guides (S/B 2), weird BB shell with panto that looks shakey and done aftermarket, as well as one of the oval "milled" slots, why a FD tab on a bike with over BB cable guides? and the stay eyes are not right: this has had some doctoring done and so re-paint and these decals added later.
I suppose that the FORK may be legit

Yeah, the fork is the only thing I'd not be guessing about.

Plenty of better examples out there with less questions.

I'm wondering if that Colnago on the bottom bracket is Photo Shopped - it almost seems to float above the BB. But that would be silly, new owner would be looking for it.

I don't know. It looks kind of late 70's Mexico. Maybe it was an outsourced Colnago.

That BB looks to have been painted by a brush. Yuck.

After seeing that Colnago Sport over on the Appraisals thread a couple weeks ago, I don't know what to think of this one. Lots of cross-pollination seems to be going on. The top-mounted gear cable guides, concave seat stay caps and what appear to be Campy 1010A long dropouts look 70s, but the front derailleur boss is definitely an early 80s development. I suppose it could've been added later and the paint is not original. Decal set is obviously not original - the World Champion band decal on the top tube should go on the seat tube above the Colnago decal.
Strange. But it looks nice enough quality. Would probably build up into a nice bike.

Well, the price still seems to be floundering, but I'll probably pass on that frame. Too many questions, and I have too many real projects, I don't need any fake projects.
Cutting the "COLNAGO" out of the bottom bracket of an already built frame would seem to be tough.
That got me thinking. Any chance the script on the bottom bracket could be a built-up paint, rather than cut out? Just a tube and glue, and one could do the script. Perspective in a photo can often be deceiving.
I suppose that would be a question to ask before bidding.

difficult compared to chucking small frame parts into a vise and then using the diemakers tool of choice, maybe actually a pantograph if someone went to the trouble of producing an over-sized master to trace from.
Given the quality (or lack of) in this sample I'd say somebody just free-handed it with a Foredom (or some cheaper knock-off tool) and then painted over the sloppy results.
