Wtt I need a Nitto Craft 0ne (100-110) or a Pearl (10)
26.0 clamp Have Ritchey and various Nitto stems to trade. Or maybe you need a saddle or something. Thanks! Edit: When it rains, it pours. Nitto Craft One and Pearl 10. On their way. :) |
I have a Velo Orange "randonneur front rack" that attaches to the fork crown and eyelets brazed to the front of the fork blades:
http://store.velo-orange.com/media/c.../ra-0025_1.jpg and I would like to trade it for a similar rack that attaches to the cantilever brake braze ons, such as the Velo Orange 'Pass Hunter' rack: http://store.velo-orange.com/media/c.../ra-0026_1.jpg Nitto makes something similar; maybe Soma as well. I don't want the cheap aluminum one from Nashbar, already have that! |
ISO: 1" Chrome headset nut and some spacers
Found a neat old Puch mixte frame, in my daughter's favorite color, purple. Going to build it up, as a city bike, around an 8-speed Sturmey rear wheel, and a generator front.
Came with a smooth turning, chrome, 1" headset, but oddly missing the top nut and spacers. Can append a photo, if helpful. |

Have: a direct-mount (no claw) Simplex 610 RD. It's in good shape, and is the "touring" model with the pivot at one end of the derailleur cage. I believe that it will take a 28- or 30-tooth cog, based on what I've heard from others around here. It's used but in good shape--I've never used it myself.
If my understanding is correct, the 610 used a Suntour-inspired slant parallelogram design; I've heard that Simplex abandoned the design after a short time, possibly because it ran afoul of one or more Suntour patents. I'd like to trade it for a similar Simplex long-cage or "grand touring" RD. I'd consider the long-cage version of the 610, 810, or 410. I can provide some photos if anyone is interested. The derailleur is branded Simplex, but has a Motobecane logo on the Simplex sticker, if that matters. |

Some of those old Puch and Austro Daimler forks used unusual headset threading. Try a normal headset nut to see if it fits. If so, those are a dime-a-dozen. If not, you'll need to find a headset from a similar frame with the correct threading or replace the fork. I 'might' have an old AD headset lying around but first step is to find out what you really need.

TPandJ- Loose Screws has 6 speed DA indexing units for under $20. They will fit into any Shimano Barcon that uses extended tabs (ones where the indexing unit basically just pops out). So, 7700 or 7800 for sure, probably others as well.
