For trade: NOS French serial numbers. Installed, never ridden.

Kind of a weird request, but does anyone have a stash of worn out large (46+?) 110 bcd chainrings they're not using? Biopace or round. Looking for a few to grind down to use as diy cheapo bash / chain guards for biopace cranksets, but I think round would work too.

I have a stash of ONE, it's a 48t biopace in our favorite metal (steel) but not rusty.
Yours for the cost of mailing, I reckon in a flat envelope with cardboard to "pad" it will be about 12 oz. max. and my zipcode is 94107.

Updated: I am no longer looking for a 25.4 stem; however,...

I am now looking for a Modolo 130mm stem, X series, in the black/dark gray color. I want to avoid the recall stems that have the pronounced ridges on the underside near the clamping bolt counterbore. The good stems have more metal with a flatter underside and radiused outer edges. Help me out please..

FT: Lots of Japanese 80s bike stuff.

Velocivixen 03-26-17 08:38 AM

ISO alloy 26.6 fluted seat post with at least 5-6" above max. insertion line to top of seat clamp.

Will go on a 1983-'84 Centurion LeMans 12 mixte.

I'm in Portland, OR for shipping purposes. I have things to trade or could pay you via PayPal, OR if you're feeling spunky, you could gift it to me for good karma. :)
Thank you for searching through your stuff for me. I appreciate it!

EDIT: No longer ISO. Thanks.

I like this! I will budget for them, and get back to you when my funding situation allows. I understand there's quite a demand. ;)

I have a fluted Sugino marked 26.6 (I measured 26.5) , a longer one marked 26.8 that measures 26.6, and a 2-bolt Simplex measuring 26.5 or 26.6 that isn't fluted. They've been sitting in my parts bins for a while and I don't recall how they got there, possibly in a box of "stuff" from another BF member. You are welcome to any or all.

I can throw in some NOS French serial numbers too. How many you need?

PM coming.

EDIT: Got what I needed, post is cancelled!
2 things I need to SWAP for a Mtn. bike--->commuter refurb project:
1: have a very clean Japanese alloy 26.4 seatpost with smooth silver shaft and black painted clamp, not sure of brand.

Need: alloy seatpost in any color 26.0

2: Have 130 OLN Shimano hub with freehub body for 7-speed (either HG or UG will work), not sure what model but could be early Deore, will research this, 36 hole, freshly repacked with new grade 25 balls and white grease.

Need: the same (or equivalent) but 32 hole.

Will update with pics, soon.
Prefer straight trades including shipping costs.

ISO: 26.8 single bolt seatpost for budget project. Pretty much any condition will do.

VintageRide 03-30-17 07:22 PM

ISO: Stronglight or TA 118 mm axle for my 49D crank set - inner chain ring is just touching chain stay with a Campagnolo axle currently in use. I would rather keep it French anyway!

Not much to trade really, some Tektro R539 nutted side pull brakes as well as some older Universal side pulls.

Suntour SVX short cage rear derailleur

Pivo 80 mm French stem ( hollow at back side behind main bolt )

Christophe plastic toe clips ( Mt, Christophe ) with straps.

EDIT: Post cancelled. Thanks.

ISO one of those "wrap around" fork front racks. I've seen Jim Blackburn and Vetta ones online. I don't care if it's black or silver.

I have various SunTour goodies, very old Sturmey Archer dynohub (1952) fully overhauled and works, a pale grey fake suede "Nishiki" labeled saddle circa 1985 with pedals & toe clips with matching pale grey leather straps that say "Nishiki". Just random things.

Have 125mm 26.0 3T stem, with some road rash
Want 80-90mm stem. 26.0 in useable condition

VV,
I am not sure what wrap around means, but I have this. It attaches to the fork brake mount and the fender/rack mounts at the bottom of the fork.

dweenk - Yes! That's it. I was thinking, though, that they may be sized - sm, med, lge to fit appropriately sized bikes. The bike I'd use it on is a 19" Centurion LeMans 12 mixte - a 1984. What do you think?

Hey vv, I don't think you would have to worry about the frame size but the wheel size.

Thanks. It was 27" but now 700c. I prefer 700c on smaller (19" or 21") bikes, for myself.

ISO: an older Schwinn bottle cage. One of those which clamps to the downtube from the 70's. I have the bottle for looks only but want the cage for actual use. My 1977 Le Tour II demands it of me.

HAVE: something I have that you might need.

Thanks all, 3SS

ISO: Non cottered crankset which would make an era appropriate "upgrade" to my ALL original 1972 Peugeot UO 18 mixte. Standard pedal threads a plus.

I have a Velo Orange 118 French threaded bottom bracket to use. I have a new VO Grand Cru crankset I could use but it looks too "new" for such a patina-ed bike.

I have SunTour Accushift & friction stuff and Shimano friction & indexed stuff. Old Sturmey Archer stuff....no Campy or anything high end, but it's all very usable.

I'm in Portland, OR Metro area for shipping. Thanks.

EDIT: No longer ISO. Thanks.

I have "Peugeot" branded Stronglight 104 crank arms (122mm BCD) with standard pedal thread. They're about a decade newer than your mixte, but if that doesn't bother you we can work something out. Currently set up with 52-42 rings, but I can just send the arms if you prefer.

JohnDThompson - Thank you. I have an SR as well as a Sugino of '80's vintage that looks close to yours. I was hoping to see about maybe a Nervar, Stronglight, etc.

I guess I could put a new VO crank on it but the frame is sort of full of character & patina.
