If you get the parts, I will build the wheel for you.

What kind of 7speed hub do you have? The freehubs are interchangable. See rccadr post earlier

I'm pretty sure I have an 8-speed freehub and axle. If you want to simply swap 'em for your 7-speed feehub and axle, drop me a line. It's an easy job.

Any chance you'd part with that silver front rack on the far right in that last pic? I've been looking for something just like that to match the rear rack that came on my Centurion Elite GT.

RobbieTunes 01-07-17 07:11 AM

ISO: Suntour Superbe Pro crankset.

I'm forced to use the OEM bb on a build that was spec'd with Superbe Pro.
Looks like the FD and the BB and the chain line will need that crankset.

I'm not complaining, the build is a challenge, a privilege, and my Plan A, B and C are close to irrelevant.

Have: DA 7410 crankset (last square taper by DA) Other stuff.

I have a single "aero color" brake lever, silver, apparently for the left side of the handlebar. Does anyone have an orphan right side one?

If anyone is looking for GB randoneur bars, I have a set off of a Raleigh Gran Sport, in good condition.

Let me know if these would be a good fit.

Biopace II fans? swap egg-shaped rings for round

Some of you actually love these egg-shaped rings, but the owner the Mtn. bike I'm working on does NOT want these and would prefer round rings (which I don't have on-hand) so...

HAVE: Set of 3 steel Biopace II (AFAIK) rings off an Exage crankset, 48/38/28, They have some wear but near zero rust and seem to have plenty of life left...being steel, natch. These have some subtle "ramps" stamped in and some odd tooth shapes to help shifting. 110BCD for the 2 large and 74BCD for the small, these are fairly light for being steel, matte silver finish.
---Pics to come when my camera charges.---

NEED: same or similar set of 3 ROUND rings in alloy or steel, or a combo. 2 larger 110BCD rings only will be considered. Color not too important.

Straight swap including shipping is my goal, but this can be discussed.

jethin 01-09-17 07:49 AM

I have 2 larger (52/42?) chromed steel round 110 rings vgc if you're interested. I'm willing to work something out, but I'm not interested in the BP rings.

Jethin, thanks for the offer of the 2 rings but since posting this I realize I need to check with the owner and see if she's going to be OK with the slightly higher gearing and lack of the 28t "granny"...I was making an assumption this would be fine. Let me get back to you after I check.

UPDATE: She wants to have the "same" gearing as before with the Biopace rings so am looking for a set of 3: 48/38/28 (although just between us she won't ever count the teeth so if there's a little discrepancy it should be OK...;)

gaucho777 01-09-17 11:48 PM

ISO: Wide-range, weight-weenie 5-speed or ultra-6 freewheel with alloy cogs from early- to mid-70s. Not set one specific model but something like an Everest, Zeus 2000, Mailiard 700 Pro, perhaps a Suntour Microlite. Avoiding two-prong Reginas. And the kicker: looking something with a bit of range, min 24t but preferably 26t+ low cog. Lower the better, while still minimizing weight. (I do also have a Suntour Cyclone GT long-cage RD in the wings for this project, so capacity isn't a concern.) Open to other non-alloy, high-end 5-speed/ultra-6 freewheels, as long as they aren't clunkers. I don't mind overhauling if the teeth aren't too worn. English threading. Thanks in advance.

Have: Lots of wheels, other freewheels, handlebars, hubs, lightly used tubular tires, racks, Avocet saddles, odds, ends, and other goodies. Too much to list.

Dang! I saw a set of those at the Madison swap this morning, but I didn't need them so I left them behind.
