Wayne Bingham at Velo Classique in VA has Simplex retrofriction springs and can even tell you how to install it.

Cyclotourist Pro Vis bolts
Does anybody have a source for reasonably priced Stronglight Pro Vis style bolts? Or the Sugino Super Maxy copy (which is what I have)? I purchased a parts bike with the crank on it and the only sets of bolts I've seen would cost more than what I paid for the whole bike.
I have converted the Sugino triple to a double but I had to add spacers to get the long bolts and sleeve nuts to work. I thought I'd hide them on the back side of the crank, but they hit the chainstay so I had to turn them around.
I guess I could swap the 113mm BB for a 121mm, but that would throw the chainline all out of whack. I also don't want to cut perfectly functional bolts down.
Perhaps someone wants to trade double-length bolts for triple-length? A couple sleeve nuts look like they got chewed up by a dropped chain or something, but they still function properly.
Bolts look like the one on the left... but I need shorter bolts.

These cups are fairly cranky so I'm hitting them with penetrating oil for a days before going any further with it. The Park OBW-3 really should work on these for a cup that isn't seized.

WTB/Trade/Borrow a Suntour bottom bracket tool that fits these Suntour cups. This is on an early 80s MTB.
edit: FWIW the Park OBW-3 brake tool fits almost perfectly in this BB but isn't strong enough and doesn't have enough leverage to move a stubborn cup.
edit: Figured out that the tool is the ST-TA230

Probably about the best you'll do on price.

Thanks for the offers @USAZorro and @9volt,
and thanks for the VO suggestion @jeirvine and @philbob57 - the VO bolts are exactly what I am looking for! Not sure how I didn't come up with them from a Google search, but leave it to BF C/V to rescue me! Much appreciated!

Trade 59cm Raleigh frame for like but taller frame.
I have a 1978 maybe a 1979 Raleigh Competition G.S. As best I can measure with a tape, it is 59cm from center of crank to the intersection of where the center line of the top tube intersects the center line of the seat tube.
I'd like a slightly taller Raleigh Competition G.S. of about the same year. 61cm will probably be ideal.
It is a Carlton, but I base that mostly on the down tube decal that says Carlton and the history that fits the Raleigh, Nottingham England head badge. I can't find the serial numbers. I suspect they will be on the bottom of the BB, but there is quite a bit of surface rust there and from what I've seen, Raleigh in England at that time was bad about using large stamps that didn't leave much impression in the metal.
I have most all of the original Campagnolo and Weinmann components. But I'm really only interested in trading frame and fork with headset bearings. Surface rust showing through the original silver paint. Chromed fork ends and stays look pretty good with a few blemishes.
I'm not entirely sure I want to trade it, but I thought I'd throw it out and see what becomes. Otherwise I plan to re-paint it and keep it for a spare.
Pictures and other info on request. PM me. Might be swayed by something else, not certain though.

would like a source for properly tight fitting 1985 shimano 600 brake hoods in gum.
i put on a modern set of new shimano 600 aero hoods in black and just cut the tip off for the cable, but they're very loose and sloppy.
( anyone tried carefully shrinking loose hoods with a heat gun ??? stupid idea ??? )

Dia-Compe 204 hoods (available from VO) fit the non-aero 600 levers pretty good.
