Well, I swung a leg over the top tube and went for my first ride in two months, or so. The Peugeot rides well and is very responsive. That said, I am not much of an engine, these days, so it is kinda hard for me to compare the bike to others I have ridden. That said, and even though my goal is original, I just might tap out the French threaded crank arms to suit my SPD pedals. I think the Peugeot and I will become good friends but not if I have to use rat traps and straps. Just cannot get comfortable with them.

Anyway, put the new tubulars on the other day, a gift from another forum member, and took the bike out for its test ride today. The bike fits me well and, thanks to me chickening out on the gearing, is easy to push. All in all, my idea of a vintage road bicycle.

One of you, in this thread, referred to the PX10 as iconic. Never really thought about it, until then, but it certainly fits into my iconic category...

She's looking great. I'm loving riding mine as well.

This the one you referred to? I still feel that way especially after following this thread, and cadman101 's thread also. Its certainly making me think about changing my rule about Italians (or Italian influenced) only, really hard.

That really looks good Randy. Beautiful job. I guess I will post mine up here as well. Mine is a patina bike.
