MBK super record

I picked up this frame from a fellow forumite about 2 years ago. No dents but some rust issues as a result of sweat. It had a name on the top tube that didn't Google so I made it mine.
I put the original chrome fork on and took it for its first ride this season...I have too many bikes.
It rides stiff, suprisingly so, considering its supposed to be made of 753. Believe it to be so because total weight is 19.3 lbs with only the carbon crank as a weight weeny part. wheels are debadged sciroccos and the rest of the components are veloce. As many have attested veloce works really well. old chorus pro fit pedals and alloy monolink saddle
I couldn't make the bottom bracket flex..no chain rub while full bore sprinting. .I'm a very built 180lbs. It's a very fun, spritely ride.

I put up a couple of bikes for sale...this isn't one of them.

Intriguing bike.
Imported lugs and shell.

I am also drawn the the fence behind, that is an intricate assembly!

Why does the stiff ride surprise you? 753 is supposed to be stiff.

Recent conversations about the stiffness/weight of various steels. for some reason there was a perception that 753 not that stiff.

The fence was simple enough..4x8 panel prebuilt panel, fence built top down to deal with slope, with corresponding drainage built in because I like my neighbors

The 60 year old Japanese maple is more impressive. I pruned it to look bonzai. just beautiful.20170730_115930.jpg

That can depend on a lot of things, perception being one of them. I am a big guy and have a 753 Raleigh Team Pro, but it is in a smaller size. Can't say it is flexy for me but someone else may find it flexy.

That's what I understood when I did some research on different steels
This lemond 853 however is noticeably flexy in the bottom bracket. it is also a size smaller than usual.
