Conversion for shifter cable stop
Anyone modify one of these to fit a cable stop for a bar mounted shifter? (Simplex/Huret braze on shifter mount?)

I just bolted on a standard cable stop. You do need to use the Huret bolt, which has different threads than the M5 that is standard now. Maybe you can see it in this pic.

Re tap the bosses to M5, if you can't find a set of Huret bolts. Then you can use standard cable stop converters from Shimano or Pronlem Solvers or others. I've done it to clamp on bands for converting vintage bikes that only have a brazed on stop for DT shifters.
