Any thoughts on this one? Seller is two streets down from me and only wants $25. Obviously will need some work. Trying to find info on the web but very few matches.

Assuming it's OEM, the rear derailleur is 1st year Alivio, which would make it a 1994 model. Upper entry level hybrid for the era. Neglected condition. I don't see much more than about a $125 value after you replace all the consumables. IMO it's an OK deal, if it's going to be a rider or parts bicycle but not as a flip candidate.

Super Luggs! Geez that would be a great all round bike after a good cleaning. How come I never see deals like that near me?

Bikes: Fuji Sportif 1.7C, Shogun Metro AT, Fuji Special Road Racer, Mongoose ATB, Fuji SST 1.0 Team, Specialized Rockhopper SS, Univega Gran Turismo, Univega Supra Sport Mixte, Nishiki Tri-A, Diamondback Coil, Specialized Fuse, etc.

Would not be able to resist at that price. Those late 80s-early 90s steel 700c hybrids are super under-rated; I fear they'll be the next frontier in old bike value inflation once more people realize how great they are. So comfortable and versatile.

Bikes: Schwinns: Paramount (Waterford), Peloton (1986 and 1999), 1987 Super Sport. Offbrand bikes: Bianchi Intenso, Diamondback Interval TG (Ironman), Peugeot Triathlon, Masi CX

It would make a fantastic gravel bike after a drop bar conversion. And Celeste is mesmerizing....

Thanks for the input everybody. Stay tuned for build details.

PS - Seller told me she had 5 others inquire about the bike after me. Fortunately, she held it nearly a day until I was available. Grateful for people like her.

Great when it works out like that. I just missed a PX10 in my size, was 2hrs away seller was out of town, thought we had a plan, he got back, sent the email, sold, no warning, no chance.

Yup, I guess the allure of reuniting with her red headed (electric rose) step sister worked in my favor this time. LOL

Nice score!! A new saddle and tires, soak that chain in some ATF over night and she will be a fabulous bike.

As much as it would disgust the wife, I would have had to buy that one.
