Possible Colnago track?
Hello, I'm new to the forum, I do not know the rules to open a new topic, I'll do it like that, if it's not well done, they apologize, I would ask for help to identify this framework, the former owner says it's a colnago, the I'm not really sure if, it looks like it's a quality frame with excellent pipe, if someone could help me identify it, who made it and year of manufacture would be infinitely grateful, unfortunately the original painting was removed and in the bottom bracket just says "Roberto" you can also see an "m". Thanks for any help you can give me

Go to the advanced editor, click on the paper clip "attachments"
, and upload some photos. JPG images between 100 kb and 200 kb are good.
Take some close-up shots of the lugs, and anything that looks unique. Any clovers?
I'm trying to think of "M" bikes. Masi?

Sorry, I might be shooting bb gun atm, but it might be Roberts Cycles frame.
From wikipedia:
Roberts Cycles was a custom bicycle manufacturer in Selhurst near Croydon, South London, England.
The shop closed at the end of May 2015.
Fastback stays and shot-in seat stays started to overtake the engraved chunky version stays with a single R. Top eyes, bottom brackets and fork crowns were now all available with ‘Roberts’ engraved in full.
But, I might be wrong.

That may be a modern custom - Roberto being for whom it was built. Nothing in the slightest to suggest it's a Colnago.
The "M" might also be a "W", and I believe it's the BB shell manufacturer's mark.
Looks very well built.

the cutouts in the BB shell are very similar to some favored by Giovanni Losa, but since it's a cast shell there may be nothing to that except an homage...we've seen that same "W" or "M" on the 'webbing' before but don't recall if it was ever ID'd.
Not that it makes a diff with a frame of this vintage, since very unlikely that it's IT threading, but: what's the threading (marking on the cups)?

The triangular window on the Schwinn Madison fork seems to be larger than what is on the subject bike....

Thanks for the photos.
I'd guess that your frame is newer than the mid 80's.
Some for the pre 70's Italian bikes were not serialized, but by the 80's, most of the major manufacturers were serializing their bikes. So, if the only mark on your bike is "ROBERTO", it may indicate a smaller builder.
The other thing is that the "ROBERTO" appears to be hand imprinted. Again leading one to think it is related to a small builder.
I can't say whether "ROBERTO" indicates the builder, or rider, or perhaps they are one and the same.

I think unworthy1 nailed it.
That bottom bracket shell certainly looks like it came out of the Losa shop. The "M" could (and I'm not 100% sure here) stand for "Magni" as Losa did build Pep Magni frames.
The OP's frame here could be something along the lines of this Pep Magni made out of Dedacciai tubing (you'll notice some differences but also quite a few similarities):

You could check the dropouts and see if there is a Losa pantograph there, underneath the paint.
