Yeah, in the back they can interfere with bags, feet and legs- I had an MTB with wide profile LX Cantis- and always managed to kick or catch the brake when mounting/dismounting the bike.

In my brake collection pic- you’ll see both a set of XT M732s and a set of M900 XTR Cantis- my secret plan for that “someday” bike is to have the M732s in the front and M900s in the back.

i cant speak to other bikes of the era, but I have already found so much enjoyment in this one and I’m not sure how another will top this bike. But I am certainly willing to try
