Raleigh Grand Prix identifying
Hello,
I'm trying to identify this camouflaged (Victory?) bicycle.(repainted in red)
Looking for date of birth of course.
My best attempt comes to Raleigh Grand Prix from 70's because of:
Lugs, three holes in headtube, serial number in left dropout(upsidedown)123075, Original colour ('Wine red')
Hurret gear and Mafac Racer Brakes.
The rear welded brake cable holder is missing, but i think I can see some marks of the original welding.
Because my favorite colour is blue I would like to set it back to an 'original Raleigh Blue' (perhaps sky blue?).
Can you advise me please in correct colour identity?
I would also reinstal the rear welded brake cable holder .Where to look for it?
Thanks,
Seems I cannot insert pictures here....

Yes but you can easily get to 10 just by commenting on others post, pretty hard to get any help on ID without pics

Well that is a bit of a mystery as it has no Raleigh decals or headbage but mentioned you can see a headbadge was once mounted, not familiar with Cycles V Super (Victory) the seat stays - how they wrap on the seat cluster do look Raleigh, and this bike may have had a re paint as a Grand Prix of the late 60s or early 70s would have chrome on the forks.... you can check out a vintage Raleigh catalog here and as you say they also had a unique cable guide for the rear brake I don't see on this frame...hmmm
The catalog should help with the Raleigh color of that Era and @guige (or a frame builder local to you) on the forums my be able to advise on the brake cable guide although it may be easier just to get one that attaches to the seat binder bolt like this one from Surly especially if you aren't sure its really a Raleigh....
The pump peg on your frame also doesn't show up on the catalog frame, so at least the USA version of the grand prix didn't have one like that so yep its a mystery! Before you do a lot I would do what you can to make it rideable and then see if you like the fit and the ride before sinking a lot of time and energy into it, Have fun with the Resto. You could also do a new thread as Belgian mystery bike which might attract someone who is more of an expert on bike boom bikes from Europe than myself.

I am in the process of trying to identify a possible Raleigh, as well. My very brief, but obsessive, search so far makes me think it is either a Raleigh or a Carlton. There is a model from the late 60’s or early 70’s that has those wrap around stays and the pump pegs like that. My notes are elsewhere and when I get a chance I will report back.
Checked my notes-Look at a 1971 or so Carlton Corsa. It has similar lugs and pump pegs. It may not be exactly what your bike is, but it is in the same category. Also, I have read stories about Raleigh and Carlton slapping a different name on their frames for various brands.

extra serialnumber found. What bike is this?

Still working on the 'Mistery ? Raleigh? Carlton? Bike' I discovered a serial number on the seat tube, under the saddle.
Not very clear, but I think I can see: M5?5?20
Help would be very welcome.

The wrap-around seat stays, lugs, stamped drop-outs and forged fork crown all point to a Grand Prix.
What's missing are the two braze-on brake cable guides on the underside of the top-tube.
1960's and 70's Grand Prix's did not have braze-on pump pegs.
Check to see if the fork has chrome under the paint a couple of inches above the drop-outs.

I found a lot of colours on this bike
The red respray you see on pictures was not wel done,
because a lot of places showed 'wine red' ( a warm dark red coulour) under.
I also found green and gray under this wine red, used as base?
I did not find any chrome remainings.
Frame is now totally stripped.

Bikes: Yes, please.
Those decals look familiar. Could that bike be Dutch, perchance?
