...more of a pearlescent lavender, but there's no thread for lavender bikes. Which is a travesty.

I'm really liking CV-6 's Carre, that is a special bike

Sorry ! the Dinucci is more of a cabernet / blackberry metallic, not really purple. House of Kolor code HOK 0622

/markp

Is this purple enough?

I bought that one last year, but I've got to be honest. The frame has been stripped and is hanging in the corner. What I was after was this...

The entire bike cost less than what bare hubs are selling for.

...when I was researching the paint color to repaint mine, the reference that kept coming up was Evening Orchid by GM, back in the '60's.
It is a surprisingly difficult color to produce, and if I had it to do over again, I would have gone over the auto paint store, and gotten them to mix it in a spray can.

it's pretty close to House of Kolor 001002 but not quite.

Kolor Details - House Of Kolor

House of Kolor is a fantastic source of paint. I used HOK 0622 (dark burgundy metallic) on the Dinucci and what a great result.

the paint alone cost about 500 bucks. Not exactly rattle can stuff.

Love that corvair monza !

Well Blackberries start out green, turn red then somewhere around 622 HOK shades of purple becoming very dark in the end to end up at "Black".

Grape's for Burgundy and Cabernet do the same, starting out white, green, red before also turning somewhere around 622 HOK shades of purple before turning "Grape" in the end.

Your DiNucci is a fantastic color that is as much a "purple" as many/most of the bikes here.

My true Purple bench mark is Dodge Plum Crazy after another fruit that also goes through 622 HOK shades to get where it is going.

If I had actually gotten to pick my Strawberry color (I didn't really) and seen this and the color I got, I would have tried for something like this but am actually glad I got what I got instead of red I thought I wanted.

Even after two decades, I really couldn't imagine ditching this bike for any amount of money.
