Bikes: Wow, where to start? A collection of 1980's and early 90's road, touring, and MTBs from the likes of Trek, Schwinn, Cannondale, Fuji, Miyata, Univega, Panasonic, and GT. It has gotten rather out of control.

1989 Miyata 312. This has to be the cleanest bike I have found so far. Looks brand-spankin' new. Gimme some Biopace love!

Looks like it may have the relaxed head tube angle that T-mar talked about in an earlier post. Nice there's no internal cable routing. Is it splined triple-butted, or "just" regular triple butted?

Bikes: Seriously downsizing.
If the inner chainring is 40t it's the first one I've ever seen in black.

That's one of the best paint jobs I've ever seen on a Miyata. Someone else posted a pic of the five layers of paint on his Miyata, I was very impressed by that.
Too bad they didn't stay in business here in the US for much longer after this bike came out.

It is the STB, but I believe the 312 only had STB in the the seat or downtube. I found a scan of the page from the 1989 catalog yesterday somewhere that stated that. I believe I found it on here, but I can't find it now. SN starts with a Q, indicating 1988 build.

Here is the image of the catalog that states "splined downtube."

Bikes: '84 Miyata 610 ‘91 Cannondale ST600,'83 Trek 720 ‘84 Trek 520, 620, ‘91 Miyata 1000LT, '79 Trek 514, '78 Trek 706, '73 Raleigh Int. frame.
That was me on both counts. Here’s the paint layer picture, and I’m headed back to that store to get pictures of the Raleigh and the Mariushi and see what else they’ve got. The bikes are all WAY tall and nothing above the 310 sport and the 210 tourer, but WOW! NEW! I scored a nice tensioned leather saddle, and I’m heading back for rando bars, (the drops that splay out). Lots of cotton bar tape, and toe straps... just a bunch of stuff.
I was with with my partner and we were coming home from a 40ish mile ride, so she was thinking more about food an drink a shower. But I’ll have all the tine in the world this afternoon.
