Centurion 1970s frame build.

I have my 1970s Centcurion super sport frame and forks that I tore down years ago. I need to sand it down and repaint it. Unfortunately I didn't save any of the components so have to start from scratch.

Welcome! You know, the nice thing about having a frame that needs paint and no parts is that you can do anything you want with it.

Bikes: A bunch of old bikes and a few new ones

Best way to do this for a reasonable price is to find a donor bike. I'd look around for a Japanese bike from the same era. The finish on the frame is immaterial as is the size but you do want the parts to be in decent shape.

In looking at an old bike, wheels often don't survive in good shape but there is a good chance that the other parts will be fine.

Bikes: Lots

Hey Shelmar! Welcome. Post some more and get to ten so you can show us pics. There are many Centurion fans here, including me. I have a 1984 Le Mans RS that I really like.

Where do you live? Many communities have bike co-ops that collect old parts for reuse. That also could be a good resource for rebuilding an old bike.

For painting, consider getting the frame stripped and powder coated. It is durable and much less expensive than regular paint.
