What is am M800 Worth. I am not allowed to post pics since I’m new. It has some battle scratches, no dents or damage. Needs new chain, has street tires, red in color.

Thanks

Well, at least it's easy to identify. The Pepperoni fork, Beast of the East frame and black Deore LX group (with atypical thumb shifters) indicates that it is a 1993 model. If it needs a new chain it probably needs a new cassette too. The middle chainring is also looking quite worn. Unfortunately, vintage ATBs do not hold value well. In an average market, I'd value this at ~$150. Picture assist....

From: Northern California

Bikes: Cheltenham-Pedersen racer, Boulder F/S Paris-Roubaix, Varsity racer, '52 Christophe, '62 Continental, '92 Merckx, '75 Limongi, '76 Presto, '72 Gitane SC, '71 Schwinn SS, etc.

My eyes are telling me that the bike has perhaps almost no usage/mileage.

But the market for 26"-wheel mtb's is extremely soft in my area of California, making it hard to get more than $100 for even a very nice one.

The price can be higher for dual-suspension bikes, but only if the front and rear suspension are still working reasonably well, and which is rare on a 20-year-old bike).
