Bikes: 2009 Handsome Devil, 1987 Trek 520 Cirrus, 1978 Motobecane Grand Touring, 1987 Nishiki Cresta GT, 1989 Specialized Allez Former bikes; 1986 Miyata Trail Runner, 1979 Miyata 912, 2011 VO Rando, 1999 Cannondale R800, 1986 Schwinn Passage

I mostly ride these, have ridden Speed play and SPD but I find I like the no muss no fuss of platforms and my knees love them. I have yet to slip off the pedal. I am sure I am not as efficient with them and I don't really care. YMMV

Well, finally...

...I gots the shoes!

And very luckily, they are wide enough. Northwave Core Plus Wide. Shoe shopping can be a real pain in the arse when you have wide feet. Glad I found these (with a discount), because the fit feels great. I am slowly playing around with/adjusting cleat position, and am super excited to get rolling with the Looks. Tooling around on my street, everything feels very encouraging so far.

If anyone else has excessive foot girth, or a squarish toe line, I suggest checking these out.

I've used these Exustars on two bikes where I wanted to stay with the classic look. One-sided SPD pedals that really look great and are very comfortable. I prefer the two sided SPD pedals that I use on my other bikes but these are a nice option.
