Me too. Do I list now or in mid-May/June when things might be back to normal?

There are a lot of folks home right now, basically doing nothing. Maybe they want to get an old bike.

I sold one this past weekend to someone looking for a better bike so he can avoid taking the bus to work.

Did you ever find t.p.? Or have you had to widen the search? There was some in Bloomington Sunday .

There are growing reports of TP looting going on.

It's risky to skim over a thread and then add something at the end, because someone may already have pointed this out. But newspaper makes perfectly good toilet paper if you crumple it up and flatten it out again two or three times before you use it--it gets nice and soft when you do that.

Does it leave ink stains on your body? I never noticed.

Also, you probably shouldn't flush it down the toilet. When I lived on the hippie commune, we used to save it in a covered container in the bathroom, and burn it in the woodstove every so often. Can't remember what we did in June, July, and August, when the stove was out. I think we burned it out near the garden.

There's also a certain art to folding the paper neatly after use so the person burning it has a non-hideous experience.

Okay, I'll stop now.

I don't understand this TP hoarding. Do the math. A roll of Scott's has 1,000 sheets. So, if you take one dump a day and use one sheet per then a single roll should last each person almost 3 years.

Sentionc 03-18-20 06:15 AM

I generally sit remotely at home now, I don’t know what to do, boring

clubman 03-18-20 06:26 AM

Sorry your math is wrong. Two teens in the house will wipe out a bulk package of Costco rolls in a month. I don't know what they do with it.

I may have to make my own bread again.

The flour aisle at the local groceries is all wiped out. They might have some really expensive organic artisanal flour. The produce section is finally back to having stock of most everything. I hope people stop filling their freezers with meat, the sold out meat department is freaking me out a little. I have enough food to get through for a month or so. Probably get tired of beans an rice at some point though.

I was thinking that if we have to, we'll replace TP with a pitcher like much of the world does. We go through TP like it's water, and there aren't any teenagers in the house

UFS? I had to go to Jewel for mine but they had plenty. Hoarding art supplies here too.

gfs is a restaurant supply place. They have lots of stuff you have eaten at a restaurant.

Right now there's plenty of food and TP in the supply chain. Some things people are stocking up on all at once.

If you really need toilet paper, get up early when the major stores open. Ignore the hand sanitizer and just wash your hands frequently, it's more effective anyways.

That is true for Trader Joes when I went at 2 pm the paper shelves were bare but when I went at 9 am when they opened they had stock, I got that pro tip from a cashier

jdawginsc 03-20-20 10:10 AM

I think if flippers attached 4 rolls of toilet paper to a particular bicycle, they'd sell quickly...

Dude. You only use one sheet?!?!?

And don’t forget, folks, there’s always the Spotted Owl to consider. 😁😉 Anyone remember that song? It might have been a local issue to Seattle, at the time.

Do us all a favor and use one of the sign-stealing Astros.

its so daft- everyone was so worried about a tp shortage that now there actually is one as idiots stockpiled 6 months worth. Now people are flushing paper towels and **** is backing up in the sewers. its apocalyptic down there !

That’s his lisp, and it’s not socially correct, to make fun of him about it. 😁😉

I just meant too many idiots buying too much tp. It's also probable they don't spell well. Hell my dad had 12 patents and he couldn't spell worth a darn.

In any case its fun playing omega man on my bike.
