1992 Series 5 Paramount frame

Is the rider a component? If so, let me post a selfie...

Now that we've pulled frames into the conversation, calling out ollo_ollo for his controversial splatter paint Peugeot.

Gee, that''s what I was gonna post.

Somewhere I've got one just like it that has a + 10 tilt. Really gruesome used it years ago adapting a road race bike to cross for one season. UHHHHHHhgly.

Charliekeet 10-07-21 10:38 AM

OK, that is pretty heinous. For a split -second I wondered why someone had posted a vacuum cleaner instruction sheet!

Okay, here's my entry in the ugly-stem category. I think this one came from the Box 'O Crap:

And in the ugly saddle category:

I actually have two of these, which came in a Secret Santa thing we did on BF some years back. Thanks, Santa!

….and it weighs a ton…

I don’t own own a set and I’ll let someone else pilfer a pic and violate the rules but my #1 vote would be Campagnolo Bora cranks.

I actually sought out, purchased and installed one of those. It went on my son's bike. Long story how this all came to pass, but it allowed him to keep riding the bike as he grew. It's actually a pretty good stem for experimenting with different effective stem heights and lengths, although a longer riser would make it even better. I agree ti won't win any beauty contests, but I would not go so far as to say it's ugly, but that's me.

Besides, compared to some French car designs, this stem is a thing of beauty.

Sure you can. I think I saw one on eBay the other day...
I have plenty of paper weights, thank you.

This is the first thing on this thread that actually made me wince to look at it. Definitely the front runner for my vote so far.

I know this is C&V but if you are talking MTB frames you are going to have a really hard time beating the very clever Structure SCW-1

There are depths of Neal's Bike Cave that I have not plumbed yet.

I stared into his Wheel Grotto once, and it stared back. It was intimidating.

Is there any part of that bike that isn't ugly?

Even the 9000 crankset? It's the best looking crankset ever made.

I don't know what it is called but the stem on this bike is the ugliest component I have seen so far.

You're braver than I. Wouldn't fess to owning that even if I did.

I feel you, but there's always Cervelo.

I'm not a fan of these for what I build and ride. They fit a modern, fat tubed carbon billboard but that is not I'm into.
