RustyJames Thanks for reaching that Huret some protector. I was beginning to think it would disintegrate before someone claimed it.

Picked it up as part of a bundle of French parts that came along with a Motobecane Grand Jubilé in KCMO a couple years ago.

Glad it found a home, if I recall correctly it came from a very tall maroon to silver fade M400. I’m still holding on to the uncut late model Judy I took from the same bike as I’m sure someday I’ll find a Bontrager or other suspension corrected MTB with a 1” head set.

As previously reported, @RustyJames hand-delivered the Box to my abode last Thursday. I've been a bit slow in posting my update, but here's the teaser shot.

I was surprised at how much Italian crap there was in the box this time around. I claimed some, but I also put some new Italian crap in, along with some French crap, and some Japanese crap.

Here is my take:

Victory is mine! Oh wait, I think that's actually Triomphe. But you know what they say, a win is a win, right?

The seatpost is just the size I needed for the Stella project bike I recently bought, so I think I know where that one's going to go. The other stuff will have to wait for a frame to be named later, but I'll try hard not to use them on the same bike.

The Box will be on its way to @panzerwagon tomorrow.

I had someone give me the bike they were on and they're from a period that I didn't have a frame/bike to put them on. I'm glad they found a good home.

I just hope the crap got out of Oregon before we were buried in snow. The Portland area doesn't handle snow well, and we just got a crap ton.

If they put it over the rear axle it should help get some traction.

Well Crap-A Teers,
It seems we have reached the end of the line for those who wish to participate in this game. If so, I will ask that the Exalted Box O' Crap be sent to me to once again go into Cold Storage until we get twelve players to step up and be on the list of recipients.
It is an unfortunate circumstance but again this issue has come up. So if no one steps up, I shall put the BOC on hold until folks wish to continue playing the game. Smiles, CrapMaster Honk

Well, apparently the crap didn't get out of Beaverton before we got buried in snow. The good news is, it finally reached the processing center in Portland today (three days after I dropped it off at a post office less than 10 miles from Portland). The bad news is that we're supposed to get more snow tonight. The other good news is that this means a couple of extra days for people to step up and get their names on the list.

Received notification that the crap has landed. I repeat, the crap has landed.

I should be back tomorrow to de-crap the package before it can once again be re-encrapped. Perhaps this will give others a chance to get off the crapper and join the queue.

So tempted to sign up for my crap Huffy build project...but the stuff I'm looking for is so specific I don't know if I'd make good use of anything. I sure have some extra things I could pack in there, however!

Having recently perused the Box O' Crap, I can tell you that there is much in there that would be suitable for a Huffy (so not useful for your project). Not much in there would pair well with Super Record.

Crapmaster requested crap be sent back to home base since no new crappers have cropped up.

Meanwhile in Texas, the crap is loaded, and final selections are nearing terminal velocity with a crapload of hemming and [yee-] hawing. Stand by.

Andy, and AMCO,
You are right right about not much for the Super Record build in the BOC but I have stepped forward as CrapMaster to offer a bit of help to AMCO on his build by using my collection of Campy parts to supply some of what he cannot get for the build.
In the hope for players to step up, at this time it seems there are no volunteers to play our game. When I stepped forward to become CrapMaster, I consulted with multiple CrapMaster Emeriti to be sure that I could do the job as they would be doing it. It seems however that the number of players are cyclical in nature and sign on to play sporadically. When I started this thread, I held the Exalted Box O' Crap until we could find twelve players that would sign up. I feel that it must be done again due to no persons willing to sign up to play.
I did have one participant that suggested that the list be re-instated when the players have been deleted, but I have always felt that it should just be something a forum member decides to do and not have to face a recurring BOC visit regularly. So, yes Andy and all Crap-A Teers the box will now be placed on ice until we have another twelve players to sign up to play our game. If we cannot get twelve players to sign on the BOC Series nine will end, and we shall wait for a new CrapMaster to be elected and we will have to wait for white smoke to occur for Series Ten to begin. I now place it in the hands of our forum members to make the decision about moving forward. However the box is now on it's way back to me for the "hold" on the game to begin.
If our players wish to have me stop the hold I will need to see a few names show up in my in box to continue the series nine list of players. Smiles, CrapMaster Honk

Super Record? I have 4-5 bikes with arguably top-notch (for their era) components. Got one with a few Dura Ace bits and some with mostly Campagnolo. Can't say I've ever owned a Super Record anything. Have been in the B-O'C rotation eight - ten times. I have seen the occasional Campagnolo part, and I think I've put a couple in myself, but the distribution is typically about 10% Gold, 30% Silver 45% Bronze and 15% Lead. It's a good source of bits that might help you finish building a clunker, finding a part needed to repair a casual rider, or finding something unexpected and cool. Better bets for locating a couple specific higher-end components are the For Sale subforum, or the WTB thread.

I think your plan of holding the box until there are twelve players in the queue is a good one, and I think you've done a great job as Crapmaster. I was mostly just commenting to give this thread some attention.

As a Crapmaster Emerti, I fully support the current Crapmaster in his decision.

I mean, being Crapmaster means never being wrong, which is a great reason to be in the position.

Hoping that my verbal contribution (craptribution) may bring me ever closer to the post threshold of eligibility. Long live the Honorable Crapmaster and their ward, the most precious BOC.
