Wrapped in Saran wrap and allowed to “bake” overnight. Yuck

Additionally use a brass wire brush.

This gets the last bits off and the peelings…

Darn decals locked in the paint. The other decals came off with the paint

Bianchi stickers came off except the headbadge…the tubing stickers…not so much.

Only removed with a paper towel…Almost as much as the other side using scrapers.

Amazing work hand-stripping the entire frame! I just stripped a Blackburn rack with Citrus Strip and that was plenty messy for me.

Thank you for the offer! I am actually thinking of doing a very Jdawg thing and creating my own out of metal to go with what will be (I think) an interesting paint job.

Im not sure if it will be fox based (Volpe translation), but it will be unique….

It’s messy, but I find that if you do each tube…use the Saran wrapping to make the first swipe, then use a paper towel (blue shop) for a full tube wipe. It is less messy.

…definitely still messy.

I looked, but I don't see a description of how you are going to paint this. Or how you will build it up and ride it. Any interesting plans?

I had a ~1996 Volpe that I used as a hauler. I liked it. It was reliable and practical. But I didn't love it so I moved it on. Mine was made in Taiwan, and it came with very tough paint.
