Probably will go north of $200, but these are some sweet Simplex 3-piece hubs.

My thoughts exactly...I PM'd him and asked him to post some close ups of the components and lugs; he responded that he will. Could be just that "new guy" selling his first time...or not.

Consider this, he says he has 9 bikes, and culling the herd so to speak. While **maybe** someone is selling something of this quality and doesn't know what they have - I've never met anyone with 9 bikes who doesn't know the quality of everything they own. I asked if payment could be made by escrow, no answer one way or the other yet.

Too bad, I love to bid on both bikes.

Sears. They have had many 'house' brands... Craftsman, Kenmore, Ted Williams, J.C. Higgins, etc.

If you know someone in Hannover to pick it up, there is a nice old Cinelli Riviera for auction. If the bars are Cinelli too, it is worth a lot.

Very rare bird, Racing mixte! Dare I say it? East Hill? If you bought every bike someone posted for you, you'd have 100, this one is pretty nice for someone short.

I emailed him to ask if I could come over to look at it. He said no problem, if you guys are really interested.

Yup, definitely Sears. A JC Higgins was my first bicycle. Lasted years and years, not because it was high end but because I loved it and took great care of it.
