Or a 5'6" rider on a 60cm frame.
I just ordered a 45mm mtb stem so I could actually use the drops.

WTB/WTT - Stronglight Cottered Axle

Still searching for an old hollow Stronglight cottered axle.

The one I need would be 132 mm long, and it would show this number stamped on the center.

The axle I seek should NOT have the letter "A" marked on the axle (as does the one seen in the photos)... those were made for British market Stronglight cranks. They have slightly different diameters (15.8 mm versus 16.0 mm. for the French version of the cranks) and were also intended for larger British sized cotter pins (9.5 mm.) which will not fit the smaller 9 mm. bores on my French pedal threaded Stronglight cranks.

Please send PM if you find one in fairly nice condition among your stash.
A bit of surface rust is alright... so long as the bearing races are not pitted or badly worn.

Thanks!

Road Fan 08-10-08 06:55 AM

I need a seat pin for a '50s Schwinn 3-speed Traveler. I really don't want new quality, this is a bike repair, not a refurbishment or restoration. The paint is good but real blemished, a like-new stem would just stand out. Diameter is 13/16 inch.

I need an early 70's black, front Simplex skewer. I'll trade for a white one.

Quality TALL/LARGE Vintage Steel

Looking for a quality road frame or complete bike 63cm or taller, from the 60's-80's. Good tubing, without structural problems, dents, serious rust--willing to fix easily fixxable problems, build a bike, or pay for a fully restored bike. Fancy lugs/fork a big +.

Example- Raleigh Professional, Trek 760, Paramount, Italian hand-made, will consider anything quality, and pay a fair price and ship the right bike/frame (pick-up in Central/South Fl.). thanks

In search of:
Crank bolt cover for a Dura Ace crank set, the screw-in kind, just about any pattern or style.
One mounting ring for a L downtube shifter, Shimano, the hole is round with one square slot out of it.
Barrel adjusters for Shimano 600 brake calipers.
I tried Harris Cyclery on the barrel adjusters, no response to the email.
Decent road tires with red trim, 700c and less than 28 wide.

miamijim 08-13-08 08:51 AM

Robbie, I have a pair of the covers that I'll sell for $40, they come with a free crankset. I also have the adjusters which are $20 and come with free calipers.

joninkrakow 08-13-08 11:37 AM

I did a dumb thing, and bought one bar-end shift lever, and now need the other. It's the indexed Suntour bar-end shifter you can see in this auction http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=350083833301

Does anybody have the left-hand/front shifter to go with it? Barring that, I will gladly accept the even older Suntour shift lever. In either case, I am willing to take both, if necessary. Thanks.

* Toeclip mounting hardware (little rectangular pieces) for Campy Chorus/Victory pedals
* One outer locknut for Suntour friction barcon (and no, I don't want a homemade one)
* Shimano 600 tri-colour 32h front hub

Mavic gp4's, the MA40's, ambrosio, wolber, and araya all made similar ones. i just want a low profile dark anodized rim. preferably clincher, but tubs are fine. used is also fine, thanks. its for my new Lejeune, which is why mavics are prefered. wolber super champs are also of the ideal variety

I have a pair of Ambrosio Chrono Montreal durex rims laced (36x3) to campy NR hubs. Come with Vittoria tubulars. The hubs are in pristine condition, rims show the usual wearing off of the anodization where the brakes hit, but never crashed, true. 126mm rear spacing, of course.

Are you still looking for this stuff? I just replaced my BB with a sealed unit (I know, blasphemous) and have a Campy NR Italian set for sale. perfect condition, the full set (fixed and adjustable cups, bearings, axle.

ISO: rear normandy hub w/ english threading (or whatever the usual freewheel thread is these days). Doesn't have to be clean, just as long as it's not rusted and spins OK.

txvintage 08-14-08 04:38 PM

Need a Campy rear skewer that will work with 130 rear spacing. Might consider a set of Shimano.

A seat bolt for a 27.2 tube is also of interest.

I know Iknow, thou shalt not mix Campy and Shimano, but it came that way.........

I may have a rear Normandy Luxe High Flange Comp Hub. If I do it is without axles and cones. I have used Wheels Mfg. axles with great sucess. I could rebuild it for you. If you are interested send me a PM.
