Simonelli information.

Hi all
I have purchased a road bike with Shimano 600 (non-aero) group set, it is a lugged frame with decals stating SIMONELLI, COLUMBUS AELLE tubing. Also has chromed forks and rear stays. Estimated to be early to mid '80s as it is six speed rear with Mavic rims (tubular) and a SACHS analogue trip meter driven off a pully system and attached to the front QR.
Stem, bars and seat pillar are 3ttt. I have decided to keep it and ride it as it steers sweet as.
Any info is appreciated.
John

Simonelli

Hi,
as far as I know Simonelli is to be the frame used by the racing team of "RADSPORT HOLCZER" . Holczer is the guy who managed Gerolsteiner. He had a good running cycling shop so he was able to provide decent steel to his team like Simonelli SLX Aero tubing frames. I am not sure but "heard" that simonelli is creation of a German import company.

Seems to be true. At https://www.holczer-radsport.de you find that they are the only ones selling Simonelli.
