Hello,
My first post. I just came across this bike. Anyone have any info on this brand? I found it in this weeks trash. All it needed was a seat and pedals. It goes like a dream!!

Here's an old thread in this forum which may have a couple of clues about the manufacturer

I picked up 2 bikes last week. One is a Puch Meteor Luxe, with a 1981 bike license, and the other is a Claridge A.T.B. 18 speed mountain bike. I almost passed on the Claridge, as I thought it was a dept. store bike, but then is saw Shimano SIS shifters and derailers. I've never heard of Claridge (it looks very low end). The Puch is pretty filthy, but it will clean up nice. Any info on either of the bikes is appreciated.

pis to come of an all-original Raleigh Superb. decked out, with generator hub and working orginal bulbs!

rougher than pooping nails, but it runs.

I just pulled this one out of the scrap pile. It's a dolphin 250z. Any info other than that is unknown.

Neat looking bike. Does it say "made in France" anywhere, or any other info?

Caferacernoc 09-11-08 10:30 AM

They were regular drop bars but they were bent so I flipped them and cut them into bullhorns.

I think they stopped making wooden softball bats in about '93 - so it's at least that old. :innocent:

Found a almost mint Miyata nine twelve today. Some nutscase threw it in as I was standing there. Watched him from the corner of my eye hoping for something I could pick components and maybe wheels from.

Then I realised this thing had Shimano 600 parts and almost mint paint, recognised the MIYATA name and pulled it out and left before he could change his mind :roflmao2::roflmao2:

Crappy phone pix, might ask my friend for help with better ones. Not sure what to do with this thing. Only space left for bikes is under my bed..

Sometimes the kind of bikes that get thrown out surprise me. I don't mind though:) as long as I'm right there in time to grab them. Great catch!

Sadly, for most folks these days old = trash.

And they apply that philosophy to everything from bikes to people.

While taking my dog for her evening walk I spied a rather pristine condition Huffy 5 speed in a large line of trash in front of one of the neighbors who is moving. It is now in my garage and destined to be college campus transportation in short order. It has 27" (yeah!) steel (boo!) wheels, passable tires and working shifters and brakes.

It must be 1st generation Shimano Positron (two cable going to the RD) but there is not even the hint of any sort of an index 'click' when shifting. No big deal as it easiy glides through all 5 gears.

Like the still shiny fenders and rear rack. So, how much should I ask for it?

With that bat and the all black it looks ready for a beatdown lol.

Very cool frame, it reminds me of those CCM bikes somewhere on the forum.

some great finds i see can easily be summed up by the old phrase, "one mans trash is another man's treasure." i have rescured out many bikes from the county dump site or be given bikes someone else was going to haul off to the bicycle graveyard. some deservinly totaled bike for spare parts but mainly classics. a 68 raleigh superbee 3spd, a 67" steyr clubsmen 3spd, a 63 jch 1spd cruiser, a 53 schwinn world 3speed, a 67 western flyer 3speed and my 59 amf roadmaster cruiser project i am currently working on. i am new to the forum and will try to get pics up soon.

These were all to go to the dump, when inlaws were moving I just happen to stop by when they were emptying the garage.
I have a set of 83 world tourist and a fuji. The mens tourist I took out for its first ride today after cleaning it up. They are both in good shape but have sat along time.
Hopefully more pics to come when I get the other 2 cleaned up and road worthy:thumb:
