I like it.
Very bold, combining the orange and the purple!

Would not have been a popular color combination during "The Troubles" in some parts of Ireland.

Great build for the ol Super Sport. I bet that thing will last longer still than a new bike off the shelf and be just as user friendly with all the new stuff on it! And you can tell folks it's over 30 years old and you only paiod $120 for it! My project that I have been gathering stuff for (done) but not started the build yet is my '88 Tempo. Debated stripping it down and doing DIY paint job, but I think I'll leave it vintage with all the nicks and scrapes. Just need to touch up at least the rusty parts, cable guides on the top tube, etc.

Yeah that is indeed how they came. They are one of the "Ltd. Edition" Mavic 125th Anniversary wheel sets.

The yellow spoke is next to the valve so you can find the valve quickly.

Yep, I painted it myself, with automotive base paint and 2K clear.

I'm completely satisfied with the results. It's by far my favorite bike of all time!

And yes, I'm 6'5" so the frame fits me perfectly.

I tried to keep the original paint but it was too far gone with knicks, scratches, rubs etc. But now that I've striped and redone it, I couldn't be happier. I have a 33 year old brand new bike!

When I put the color of the letters against the paint sample, I knew I had to have it. I like bold stand out color combos.

That's a beautiful machine!

That is a specific fence used to castrate male rabbits - as part of a population control measure. One simply chases the rabbits over the fence and as they jump....

My Nishiki International. I think it's an '85. There was nothing wrong with the Suntour Sprint group that was on it but I wanted the money that I knew it was worth.
This frame is cool as it uses internal lugs and oversized tubes, but still looks like a pretty cool old steel frame.
The new group is mostly 1056 with a 1050 (I think) crank and some 10-speed FSA chainrings. The wheels are Mavic heliums in not too bad condition.
