Maybe a little OT... My daughter joined the school unicycling club this year. She was given this unicycle..

Most of the kids are putting crepe paper through the spokes, or other dodads on there unicycles. We went a different route..

-Shimano Deore front disc brake
-Kona P2 fork

-Chris King headset

After Version 2.0. The wheel stabilizer really makes this bike an absolute pleasure to ride. The front rack is the Civia Market.

I've looked at these rear racks before. How do they attach to the frame? How do you stop them from rotating under load, there's no fore-aft brace?

The rack is attached to the top of the fender. I don't think those racks are designed to haul a bunch of weight. Maybe someone who has one of these will chime in.

I'm getting ready to build out a couple of my bikes and want to use that style rack. Quality metal fenders provide a lot more strength then some realize. You can also hide a brace on the underside of the fender.

J.P. Weigle has some pictures on his Flikr but doesn't have them tagged in a way that is easy to find. https://www.flickr.com/photos/49353569@N00/ Great photos if you like that style bike. He updates very regularly.

The rack is attached at two points to the top of the fender with M5 bolts. The fenders are stainless steel with attachments at three points: the fender stays, a clip at the brake bridge, and the chain-stay bridge. It's difficult to push down on the fender itself. Adding the rack which has its own vertical struts has only made the whole assembly even more rigid.

I'd might be more wary with lightweight aluminum fenders. But with the stainless steel ones, the rack is rather solid.

The rack is really meant to hold small panniers and to the steady the bottom of a saddlebag hung from saddle loops. I wouldn't trust it with more than 40lb capacity.

I'm installing a fender mounted light sometime this month and can post picture of the inside of the fender & the whole rack setup if you'd like.

Specialized StreetStomper. It rides pretty nice and I think this touring conversion will work out well for me I used it for a bit before doing this.

Before, as bought for $50:

After adding On One Mary Bars:

After conversion:

-Specialized StreetStomper frame, "custom" tubing
-Stock Sugino crankset and bb
-Deore FD
-LX RD
-Suntour barcon shifters
-Tektro brake levers
-Velo Orange cables and housing
-VO water bottle cages
-Brooks B17
-Acorn Saddle Bag
-Cannondale rear panniers
-Performance front panniers
-HahnTronix LED head/tail light. (Battery pack not pictured) Bright homebrew light made my a local riding acquaintance and BF member https://www.hahntronix.com/
-Specialized Roubaix tape (cushy stuff)
-Schwalbe Marathon tires
-Trek Rear Rack
-Old Man Mountain Front Rack
-32h Wheelsmith front rim with XT hub
-36h Weinmann rear rim with marginal quality Shimano hub and 7 speed cassette

Still need to add a bell, a slightly longer chain, and I've got my eyes open for a decent rear wheel.
