I'm moving from Minnesota to Indiana at the beginning of April, and I have a couple frames to give away for the price of shipping.

The second frame is an early 80's Schwinn Varsity. This one measures 50.5 cm from center to the top of the seat tube and 45 cm from center to center of the top tube. I do have the fork for this one, which will be included. I have no idea when or where I got this bike, so I can't tell you anything more about it.

Right now, I'm building up that frame's sister (a 54 cm mixte in the same colors) for my wife. I only wish I could take that frame off your hands so my wife and I could have matching bikes, but I think she'd be a bit upset if another project bike ended up in our garage.

I forgot to mention that I have had several people asking about the Fuji frame. I'm going to do some research tomorrow to get a handle on shipping costs, then I'll start contacting people in the order I heard from them.

Just in case whoever get the Fuji is curious and doesn't feel like getting out their calipers, the seatpost I took out of my gran touring se that appeared to be the same year (but a mixte as I mentioned earlier) was a 25.8. I might still have the cranks with Fuji forged into them (cool looking but big ring pressfit on to crankset, so not high quality and missing two of the bolts) somewhere as well as the old seatpost (was one of those cheap posts with a separate clamp unit) if you really felt the need to build it up to original spec.

Just to update - the Fuji frame (and a few other goodies that go with it) have been shipped.

anyone want this old Wool/Acrylic blend cycling hat? I know winter is winding down, I should have offered it up earlier.

listen, it's not in great condition, it's not as bright as it looks in these flash photos, and something gnawed some holes in it while in storage (the holes are only through the outer layer), but it's useable, and would look great for bombing around on a single speed in the city (no one will see the holes at speed), or wearing in crappy weather. It is toasty. It has no funky smell (smells like wool should).

I haven't worn it in 6 years, but can't bring myself to throw it out. If you want it, I'll mail it to you free of charge.

I think this hat dates back to 1985. It's made in Italy by Cortina "Another Mel Pinto Exclusive", or so the tag reads.

I have a Motobecane Mirage frame/fork/crankset/bb up for grabs. Scozim gave this to me last year, and I have no plans for it in the near future. Its in good shape, normal chips and scratches, no rust.

Then, a little bit off topic, I have these nifty remote control airplanes. Real basic beginner planes, you can get them cheap at Radio Shack. The first one was a blast till I let my daughter try it and she stuck it in the rain gutter. Big thunderstorm before I could retrieve it and now it doesn't work. I sorta think the battery's fried, though it could be bigger electronic issues.
The second one showed up on Ebay really cheap cause the tail was crushed. The electronics are fine. Either I was going to put the good electronics into the one with the good tail or put the good tail on the one with the good electronics, or sometimes I even dreamed of building some really cool airplane from scratch and putting the electronics in that. Either solution would require some fine soldering.

Free vernier caliper to anyone in the U.S.A. I'd prefer this go to someone who does not currently own calipers (honor system). I'll cover shipping costs as well. My only restriction is that the recipient must have more posts than ultraspontane (currently 424).

No worries here! I'm gonna invest in one of those fancy digital ones soon.

I'd say go with a decent quality vernier one instead. I have a digital one that eats batteries (even if I turn it off after each use) and then you're left with the vernier bits that aren't super accurate. On the other hand my isn't a fancy one just a $20 one.

I wouldn't get anything but an 8-inch Mitutoyo digital. They last forever and don't eat batteries. The 6-inch are pretty useless. Starrett make a good one also, esp. the dial 8-inch.
