I'm sure it doesn't, especially not the slow speed I ride. It just kinda looked off because it didn't line up visually with the cage--like when a person is wearing glasses that are too big or small for their face, you keep thinking, "hmmm, what doesn't fit here."

Today's offering is a Shimano hub model 2200 over lock nut is 130mm and the freehub had a seven speed cassette with this spacer behind it so I'm thinking it is 8spd. Cost of shipping thru pirate ship. Smiles, MH

Nothing special 32 hole hub. It could used an overhaul before being laced into a wheel.

It's only 246 miles from me, but I don't have time to cycle such a distance.

Bikes: N+1's

The 11lb Mini BOC is on the way to zookster.
It would not fit in the BOC, so I would love for this pile to find a new home. Would prefer one person for all of it, but will consider other ideas. Will ship as cheap as possible.

For the folks who have checked out the JBB thread, you know I picked up a "carpet fibre" bike that could not be saved. But a bunch of parts from that bike are going to leave here destined for some BF member who is willing to pay the modest shipping costs from USPS. The whole lot of this should fit a box about 6 inches square. PM me. Smiles, MH

These things are useable. Stem, HS, brakes (a bent post on the rear but otherwise ok), F&R derailleurs and the adjuster bits for cables.

I am 170 miles and 3 hours away. But the bigger challenge is my spouse and where to put it.

That worked for two bikes of which she has only recognized one. Hard to keep count when you get above 10.

Maybe if it were spelled Surly instead of surely, it would be easier to hide.........

A buddy of mine in the UK (was in Chicago for a few years) had a similar predicament. He bought a Paratella for L'Eroica in Gaiole, picked it up from the seller in Florence, but hadn't told his wife about it. (She's not an N+1 fan.) Rode it in Italy, shipped it home, then stashed it in his loft. He's been working his way through his bikes, putting everything back together, those he took to the US and shipped back (and those he bought in the US!) as well as the bikes he'd stowed in his loft. He eventually got to the Paratella. It was built and leaning up against a wall somewhere. His wife walked right past it, didn't bat an eye...

Time and numbers hide all bikes.

I certainly can't keep track of all the jackets my wife has. Then again, none of them are >$1000.

Having multiple bikes of the same color and storing them in more than one location can help the ruse. Also keeping the bikes arranged so that it always looks like there is some empty space. The key is avoiding her taking count of the actual number.
