In the almost three years I've been pursuing C&V seven or eight Miyatas have passed through my hands, and five are currently in the family stable, one on its way out. Surprising it's taken me so long to post in this thread!
I have bought two since the first of this year, this being the first, a 1990 TripleCross mixte (which I don't think the catalog even mentions as existing). I got it for a very nice price from C&Ver slushlover2 at the Madison Bike Swap. It'll serve for daughter who's taking a semester off from college...her other bike, back on campus, is also a Miyata mixte. This one has had some changes, not sure if those were by slushlover or another owner, but is in very nice shape. Not sure we really need the low gearing here in the flatlands! The original Miyata fenders are a nice touch!

^ I think it is pretty rare. The 'cross' series of bikes started in 1989 and as far as I can find at miyatacatalogs.com, none are pictured or listed as coming in a mixte version...the catalog notes sizes with an 'L' for bikes that did come that way. Not that that makes it especially valuable (except maybe to total geeks like us), but it does make for an appealing city bike. Catalog for the 1990 version lists weight is 23.5 lbs, competitive with their mid range road bikes of the time. As far as I can see in the catalogs there is no Miyata that came with factory fenders, either, but that's what this one has...Miyata logo is on them.

Could be! It's a Path Runner, but I saw an Elevation 2000 in a catalogue and they looked the same.
Don't know if you remember, but I also have an Elevation 10.000. It's currently being used as a single speed with a rigid fork. Used it for an annual 120 km SS "race" and got quite a few positive comments!

Paulzinho, very nice TrailRunner! Good shape too! It is a TrailRunner of course, no RidgeRunner. The RidgeRunner for 1990 was a blue/white steel bike.
Chuckk, a nice Elevation 5,000 it is. It is a great frame and I like the paintscheme Miyata choose for it.
My Miyata Team is derived from Chuckk's 1991 Elevation 5,000. It was a special edition issued to celebrate Greg Herbold's 1990 UCI Downhill world title. Greg raced to the title on a 1990 RidgeRunner with Rock Shox RS-1, Tioga discwheel, white Onza Porcs and so on.
Chuck's and my bike differ in a couple details from Paul's earlier TrailRunner. That is because Chuck's and mine are the final evolution of the Miyata's early bonded & bolted MTB frame design. The differences:
- oversized 1-1/8" headttube, instead of 1"
- 73mm wide BB shell, instead of 68mm
- toptube shift cable routing, instead of under bracket
- tapered seat- and chainstays
- slimmer drop outs
- bolted on brake bridge and canti bosses, instead of welded
- machined out BB-yoke with integrated chain suck teeth
For 1992 a whole new design was issued. That is the design like the blue frame I posted earlier, in post #311.

Sorry my mixup. Yes it is almost pristine, 'cause I never ride it. The 1" head tube means that it is hard to get syspended forks for it so it'll have to stay fully rigid. Also great info too. Very interesting lugs, I must say.

This poor bike had obviously seen better days. Some artistic person had rattle-canned one side of the frame, and the 600 tricolor group was almost unrecognizable. However, with some delicate stripper work on the frame and a nearly NOS tri group, this bike is a keeper for me. Unfortunately, the decals are pretty scrubby.

Late 70's Miyata Super Liberty
I recently purchased this bike, and I've haven't found much information about it. I've found limited information about the Liberty but next to nothing about the Super Liberty. It looks like a great bike, and I would like to learn more. If you have any information or can direct me towards some, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!

Here's my Miyata 710, bought new in 1982 for $270
Its still a great bike and nice rider, with modest weight and excellent components [specs]. Its all stock, except for the Suntour fingertip shifters, and PVC stand.

Miyata?
1993 Elevation 2000 in Fatal Black!
Extremely nice bike. I would like to upgrade it, but it is fine as it is. I have a carbon fork but it would damage the look, I like the curved fork even though it is probably 3-4 lbs of steel.

198x Miyata 610. Customer at the bike shop asked me to throw it out for them, I inflated the original tires and road it home that day. Now set up 47x18, using mostly original parts. New 27" Velocity Aeroheads, however, after someone stomped my rear wheel.

1985 One-Ten, modified for single speed campus use.
Edit: and this was another BF acquisition. A big shout-out to Iowegian.
My daughter has enjoyed this frame over the last 2+ years.

OK, I can't help myself, here is my 1984 Miyata 1000.
That is one of those bike pics you WANT to look at. What a gorgeous bike, clean set up, and pleasant background. I want to make my TripleCross frame look as close to this as I can.
Very, Very nice work.

Still learning
Here's my Team Miyata picked up a month ago in "as is" condition. Full Dura Ace, Modulo levers. Haven't had a chance to work on it yet.
