Paramount posibly being CONVERTED!!!
The chrome stays, bar end shifters are screaming Paramount, but I'm not sure. I don't see a Reynolds sticker, and I can't read the down tube. The head badge looks like early 70's.
If it is a apramount it should be sold to someone who will preserve it, then this fella can use his money to convert something else.

It's a 1973 World Voyageur, built by Panasonic for Schwinn. It was the first bike Schwinn imported and they wanted to insulate the brand from from the then stigma of importing from Japan, so they used a "World" headbadge instead of a Schwinn headbadge.
It's a very nice bike. Details from Bob Hufford's SLDB

I constantly debate converting my 86 Paramount to a fixed gear. I just havent found any good campy stuff for cheap enough so the bike sits unridden. I would rather ride it than it sit on the stand another few months.
