I wonder about the process in coming up with the ET Buckle Up sign. We had one in Sultan (where I was living for a while until last summer) right by the elementary school. Never seen one before or since until I saw your post today.

Anyone have any feedback?

On Tuesday, Rain was in the forecast so I drove over Snoqualmie Pass to Eastern Washington looking for drier conditions. Found some filtered sunshine on the Iron Horse Trail and rode about 35 miles on the Merckx.

I've only been along Snoqualmie Valley on my tour last summer. Gorgeous trail.

I did some of the Iron Horse on my tourer as well, most of it because you have to leave the highway for the trail around Lake Keechelus. I'm not familiar with the surface along most of its length, but the area around Keechelus definitely made me wish I was running wider tires.

One of these days, I should do the Iron Horse up Snoqualmie Pass and back on my gravel bike. Should fly on the descent.

Shouldn't complain, but here in sunny California, 4th day of big time winds. Skipped the club ride and tried to do a neighborhood ride, 6 mph into the wind, and I called it a day. Beats shoveling snow, but the wind needs to go blow somewhere else.

I got out for a nice ride just a little under 40 miles in the East Bay hills and ~3400' of climbing--up Tunnel Road, and down and up Pinehurst to Redwood Rd., then back across Skyline toward Berkeley for those who know the area. Beautiful day in the low 70s.

I rode my Look, which has been out of service for the past couple months while I addressed some rust issues, did some touch up painting, and gave it a thorough overhaul. It's good to have my favorite ride back in the rotation.

Rumors of protests were in the news, so I meandered through the UC campus to start the ride. Didn't see any protesters there yet, just helicopters in the distance past Campanile Tower (hard to see them in the photo, but they're there).

All I did bikewise today was ride to and from work, total about 32 miles as usual.

Protesters? I say make America great again by teaching people traffic laws and how to think while driving. The stuff I see every day would curdle your hair. It can't curdle mine 'cuz I don't have much left to curdle.

Fortunately I can avoid most of it by biking instead of driving.

Don't have a picture, so I suppose you can say I imagined it, but after all the traveling about and coming home to some stiff winds, for some reason, I took a nice 25 mile ride. Nothing unusual about the ride, heard the rather large Peacock calling out from the farm I pass, he loves to spread his plumage fully and strut along the roadway. He always fusses at me as I go past. The local goat population has seen its normal spring increase, the little kid goats are all bouncing around once again. Great time of year for riding here.

And, I already miss New England, sigh........

Just a quick 7.60 mile ride to Deep Run Park from my house. I have a million things to do today, but managed to sneak in a quick ride out 'n back in 29:05. Incredible temps already here in Richmond, Virginia!! It's almost 90° already and this is the end of April! :twitchy:

We're fortunate to live in an area where I can walk out my front door, and through a combination of housing developments, private roads, parks, and MUPs, ride 32+ miles without riding on an actual busy public street. Gotta keep an eye out at some of the intersections, but aside from that, no big deal. We call this The O Loop, because the turnaround point is the Occoquan Regional Park. It's undergoing some long overdue maintenance and upgrading right now, but still a lovely location to pause for a moment on the Colnago Superissimo:

The hill out of the Occoquan is a great training ground- long and steep, people come out here to ride it over and over while training for some of the big rides in the state:

Springtime in the Cascades. Time to ride some of the closed mountain passes.
Today Bob Freeman (faustocopious) and I rode up Cayuse Pass.

Filtered sunshine, temps in the 40’s. Decent enough to ride the gauntlet of snow to the pass.

That LOOK frame is just simply stunning.

Took the bianchi trofep for a test ride with the new 11-28 cassette and it felt good. Weather is dry and stiff here in social right now so it was difficult to breathe cuz of the dry winds.

We've been getting tons of rain around here so my greenway ride has been a challenge. Lots of puddles and creeks passing over the road slows my progress but I still get out there.
