Threat of rain shut down a bunch of sales at a local citywide event. I drove through early on my way to do some yard work nearby and got ran off...lousy earlybird, lol. Drove back through on my way home and was surprised to see bikes still in a yard.
Got the final discount price.https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...fc9a41e6dc.jpg

Where are you finding these? I bought my 310 thirty-five years ago in California. After I moved back to Ohio, it's rare for me to even see another Miyata, let alone one available for sale.

I found the 88 last spring/summer at a "Thrift" store. I found the 86 listed in the major classifieds in my area just last month, and the 91 was found in the same classifieds just last week. Paid more for the first one than the other two together

I’m sooo happy to have found this poster at a local flea yesterday. In a nice frame to. Thought I’d share. From 1986. https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...1af3643bc.jpeg

I try and salvage everything donated to our charity bike shop. Not all can be saved but we run a high percentage. All bike salvaged are donated via one of the charities we work for. If you can't fix it.....send it to me and we'll do our magic. Thanks

My catch of the day was a mid-to-late 80s Nashbar Toure XC. Made in Japan with Tange #2 and loaded with 18spd Suntour XC components and 700c wheels. Cost was $50 as-is.

That's amazing. Wanna sell it?

Kdogbikes 05-20-19 07:33 PM

Thanks shoota, but this is a keeper. I've had some great finds over the years but this wall art had me grinning all the way back to my car. Even my oldest son who has put many miles on Nike running shoes thought it was pretty cool. Cheers, Kevin

This is a nice catch; just the right combination of versatility, cool components, vintage appeal. I'd like to find one of these for 50 bucks.

2001 Cannondale Adventure, HeadShok, Magura hydraulic rim brakes, massive downtube and very cool topographics.

Saved from fate at Goodwill thanx to wgscott passing it on to me.

A fine gentleman at the local bike thrift store told me a price I wasn't going to argue about, on this fine rather early Campagnolo Record front derailleur. Thank you kind sir!
VeloBase.com - Component: Campagnolo 1052/1, Record (2nd version)
I needed an early front derailleur, and it's going to be perfect for my https://www.bikeforums.net/classic-v...fo-needed.html.

Very nice, and very difficult to source to put it mildy. It took me forever to find one to replace the damaged unit on my '63 Paramount - It wasn't cheap either...

^^^^^^^ Cool, it's so magnetically attracted to the frame, it doesn't even need a clamp bolt/nut.....

Thank you. I already solved the doubt. I have an equal seatpost, which was given to me. It seems to be a Profile Design.

Sure, I used Mother's brand cleaner wax but I imagine any light rubbing compound would work.
Didn't completely get rid of the yellowing but definitely looks better.

Brilliant! Tx, doesn't hurt that Schwinn decals, like most of their stuff was more robust and tougher than not. ;)

A friend received a box of crap from an in law and brought it by for me to dispose. He said I might be interested in an old set of mtb pedals in there. Ha, may as well give me a baby in a basket...

There was more. He runs with shimano cleats and there were a couple of pair of DA pedals that I talked him into. I guess the PO also raced Mustangs. Some of the tools are stamped Ford.

Helped a buddy take a few appliances to the scrap yard. This 89' Peugeot Europe Express was just dropped off.

I had a grey '88 that I got as a stripped frameset from the Peugeot warehouse in NJ.

rjhammett 05-25-19 11:11 PM

I picked up this '90 Marin Eldridge Grade a couple days ago. I gave it a complete overhaul. It was missing tires, a front wheel and had mismatched cranks. I replaced those parts with parts bin parts. I have a total of $25 invested in it.

Now that's a striking bike.
