Nice Crescent...Crescents are sometimes underrated because their lower end bikes often share the same paint schemes as their top tier offerings and many lump them together.
Mine is full campy down to the drops, the finish is on a par with my early PX-10, meaning that it could be a little "cleaner" but with the Reynolds tubing it rides very well...plus it is orange with the checkerboard which I appreciate.
Best, Ben

OK, based on my research so far, this is a Crescent 320. RD has a 1970 patent date. Some of the original Campy stuff is gone, but the seat post, crankset, pedals, RD, FD, shifters, and headset are all Campy. Wheels and brakes are not. Chain rings are Sugino Mighty Competition, 46/42, a change for sure.

BB is either French or Swiss, marked 35 x 1. I won't know for sure until I get home and can put a wrench on it.

Eighth and FINAL pickup this trip. I already had to donate one complete and donate three others after some parts harvesting, and I even sold a fifth pickup from the campground. Kept room for the Merckx and Litespeed.

Its a surprise to see Sugino and DiaCompe on a Tommasini, but I’m certainly not an expert. You should start a new thread on this bike so your posts don’t get lost here.

There are plenty of experts here who can help.

Man all I ever found in gramps shed was dead flies and maybe a rusty gardening tool or three. Nice Find Macktheknife

Picked up this Puch Bergmeister for $50 on CL just for the Campy components. Rides fine (blew tube and tire on first ride 50 yards from home) but still undecided if I'll restore it.https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...ebf73b338d.jpg

$10 Craigslist find (austro daimler super leicht). Only wanted short stem for another bike, but then saw nice campy components and decided to do a full restoration. Will start a thread.https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...7f43abf351.jpghttps://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...b56f3f9ca8.jpg

This is awesome! MORE silver-brazed 531 Graz goodness! Another super score and I am eager to see the build thread on this one!

Awesome score on the Puch. Shame someone took the head badge, they have style! Still gathering some Campy bits for my early Bergmeister.

First generation Austro-Daimler Vent Noir, c.1976-77! The floodgates of Graz silver-brazed 531 goodness seem to have opened lately! I know the Vent Noir II with the smoked chrome is considered the grail version, but I always loved the flat black with gold pinstripe ones like this. A Vent Noir in 23-in is on my list for sure, and this is an awesome find. If the 21-in rides as well as the 23-in variants, you are in for a treat.

Thanks for the info, I wasnt as familiar with the AD history. Unfortunately too small for me so will probably sell her.

You'll want to read over this site beforehand - My Austro-Daimler "Vent Noir II" Bicycle And Brief History of Steyr Daimler Puch . And t'is pity it is a 21-in and not a 23!

Tiny Colnago Master

Saved this poor little guy from a neglected home. Last night I got rid of 90% of the rust, put a reasonable stem on it, re-cabled, new chain, bar wrap, tires, tubes, saddle etc. After pictures to come later today. Considering replacement decals, but I kinda like the refreshed/worn out look. Giving this to my gf (her first bike!) Sunday.

On the way to pick up pizza I decided to check CL real quick and lo and behold something worthwhile was actually listed. Emailed the seller, he fired right back, we met in 10min, I gave him $20 for the bike and then I went and picked up my pizza. Late 90s Trek 1220 that only needs new bar tape.

My rescue of the day, yard sale find, and the first Centurion I've run across for sale, so I paid the price. I have no idea as to the year or model as I'm wholly unfamiliar with the brand. I poked around the internet earlier and seems like pink was a color option beginning in 1986, but the 1986 catalog doesn't show any bike models for that year that came with a "Shimano 105" component group set.

Rusty, very rusty. Lots and lots of frame rust. Sticker from a long gone LBS on the seat post tube indicates the bike is of a local origin, but the rust tells me this one ventured out to the coast at some point, nearly drowned in seawater, and came back with a unhealthy dose of salt.

Person I bought it from claimed she was the second owner, and that when it was given to her three years ago it had been sitting outdoors for untold years. Story went that she took it to a LBS and they overhauled it and got it usable again.... I hate to even think what it had looked like before that! So appears it got new tires, tubes, cables, seatpost tightening screw, brake pads, and serious cleaning, and lubed during the indicated three years ago LBS overhaul. But was told she rode it a couple times, decided she really didn't like how it felt riding it, and it has been in her garage ever since... which was rather obvious considering the vast quantity of cob webs with dead bugs and live spiders that were covering it... seriously, does no one clean stuff they put out at their yard sales anymore? Cobwebs are one thing, but this bike literally had live spiders crawling all over it! Needless to say, I feel the condition of the frame is a bit iffy, like yeah, it got cleaned three years back, but the LBS didn't attempt to do anything to remove the rust. I kinda felt bad for the lady I bought it from as this bike is a 21" frame, and she was maybe all of 5'6", and this seat post is jacked up to a height I'm okay with at a bit over six feet tall.

Nice catch, that seat is worth more than $20.
