A friend gave me this old Pacer (not sure of the brand), perhaps from 1986 based on the serial number. Needed a few upgrades -- new tubes, tires, rear wheel, brake levers, shifter, grips, chain, and cabling -- so now it's done! Will be given to a different friend --> :tandem:

Will make for a good commuter that won't break any hearts if stolen in the big city :thumb: |

The other race bike I bought also has a stem like my unknown bike. The race bike came from a French manufacturer in Caen, Normandy who was a former track racer and this stem was used to adjust track bikes. Here is the second bike with this famous stem

Brought this home on the cheap recently. Seller bought it as a frame and put on what he had laying around, which happens
https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...f6925b8a2.jpeg to include Dura Ace FD, and 600 brakes and brifters. Need to clean it up and get a nice rear derailleur for it. |
Two 1996 Trek 930 SHX, one in 18” and the other in 21”. All original except tires, and very dusty/ dirty. My favorite kind because they usually clean up really nicely!
Probably keep the 21”, resell the 18” after tuning and cleaning. https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...c5b8aa3d6.jpeg |

Spidey sense again. I actually turned back around and hit the scrapyard again before heading out of town. Too bad I wasn't there when it was dropped off as it was pretty much mint before getting thrown on top of the pile. It looks like it spent it's entire life on the trainer. Now it has a trashed rear rim, scrapes and a torn saddle. I'll put this at 12lth in line for fixing up for my self.... |

THis is the usual scrap yard haul. This one almost didn't come home, but the frame and basket might be the start of a non precious single speed college bike for the daughter. |
Nothing super special but a good $18 pick up. 1994 Schwinn CrissCross. I'm kinda digging the trekking bars, I think Schwinn calls the Glen Bars. Also the Tektro levers with wings are kind of rare. I was pretty impressed that it still has the price tag on it from 5/94 at $349.95 from one of my favorite LBS's from years ago.

My $10 FB marketplace find, 1980 Raleigh Record Ace 10 Speed. Needs tires and has a little bit of overspray on it, but other than that it's in good shape.

I was walking past the local junk store, and the lady there knows I'm into bikes. She yelled at me that she had one. This is what I got for 80.00, an all original Giant\Cadex CFR2 with 8 speed 105 with first gen brifters, those crazy Scott extended handlebars and Giant branded Look pedals. Front wheel needs a little truing, otherwise in really good shape.

Nice pick-up on the billiards table, providing of course that you have the room. The felt looks good, which is surprising. Are you going to set it up yourself Mr. 66 ? I have a fiend that know someone that does this for a living and he had him set up a table and put new felt on it and my it took the full day to do. My friend said it came out great, but you would expect that from a pro. One tip that I did get from them is that they use playing cards as shims to level the slate There must be some good videos on how to set up a pool table, if you do it yourself. Good luck. Have fun with it.
I'd love to have a basement that has enough room for a pool table, but if I did, I'd probably turn it into more workshop space. |
Congratulations! That's finding a treasure in the trash!
This Yokota must be from the 85-90's. A forgotten rose. |
Picked this up locally from an auction that I didn't know that I won for a total of $12. I thought for sure that the other bidder won. Other guy probably backed out because I was the only bidder left. Needs a lot of cleaning though. 1980 or 81 Lotus Odyssey, 56cm.

Cateye Mapei
If you still have the Cateye mapei would you be willing to sell it. Thank you so very much |

Brooks Swift for $50. The owner used it once or twice before switching to a B17. Sometimes, it pays to hound FB marketplace.

Found at the dump yesterday - near-mint Rockhopper. Mostly original and totally functional other than needing tires/tubes.

Picked-up this freebie last Friday. Around 2007-'08. A bit big for me so going to be a flip.
