I sure don't own a Bianchi, but I couldn't let these freebie Bianchi fenders go past me. Now to find a Celeste colored Bianchi. lol

A noble quest for sure!

A nishiki prestige is one of the nicest riding rigs I've ever been on, Tange 2, 1986. Jealous here.

The peugeot is missing a seat, and the chain. It has a bontrager race lite wheelset on it (700c too!). I think someone started a project but never finished it, as theres a 9 speed cassette but a 6 speed derailleur.

The nishiki prestige was $5, I couldnt say no to a nice lightweight bike. It has a really nice feel to it, and it has aero levers and 700c wheels.

This royal scot (made by raleigh)was $5 also, couldnt say no to it either. Wrights saddle and a leather saddle bag.

And this lot was $6. 3 Bontrager race lite wheels (2 fronts, one rear), 2 700c tires, 2 700c tubes, and a specialized air tool floor pump.

Cant help but feel as if I practically stole them for what I paid.

Mouth watering haul! I think you did great for any frame you might have to hang them on.

$8 Kabuki Hilltopper

3 Attachment(s)
Gave 8 USD, at a thrift store, for this Kabuki. It was sandwiched between a NEXT Power Climber and a NEXT Power X that were tagged at $50 a piece! I didn't, at first, really look at the bike as much as I was feening for the Blackburn rear rack. I only noticed it was a Kabuki once I got it home a few hours later. Low end, but, I'm thrilled with the find.

I picked this up gitane yesterday from a guy cleaning out his garage.$30. He had probably a dozen frames and bikes in various states of completion. Some gorgeous Raleigh Super Course / Grand Prix (not for sale).

Anyway, I think this will make a nice tow-path bike with bin parts. It didn't come with wheels and the drivetrain is 'trashed'.https://images.craigslist.org/00000_...H_1200x900.jpg

Found this for sale in the local Clist, a Fuji Opus IV. I don't think I got the best deal as the seller was firm on $100, but maybe it's not too bad. A real cornucopia of decent stuff: Superbe Pro cranks, Cyclone rear and Campy front derailleur, Modolo International brakes, Specialized stem, Modolo bars, 600 aero levers, (broken) Modolo shifters, Deore XT headset, Mavic tubeless rims laced to Dura Ace front, Bullseye rear with New Winner freewheel. Aside from the broken shifters, faded anodizing on the brakes, and a seriously indexed headset it seems to be in decent shape. The seller said he'd let me know if he found the stem and saddle. He said he bought it in '91. I should have asked if he was the one swapping in the parts. If it all still looks promising after a closer inspection I'll start a build thread. The lugwork is pretty elegant and understated.

Saw that here, shared with local forum, sold 10 or so stands for Aldi, including mine. Decent stand.

eom 05-20-17 07:11 AM

They were down to $15.00 at my store.
I bought one that I really did not need.

Not bad for the full price and sweeter at half.

Thinking about converting it to a bench top mount.

KHS Alley Find

1 Attachment(s)
I found an old KHS Gran Sport leaning against a trash can in my alley. 70's vintage judging by the "safety levers" on the Dia Compe brakes. 58cm frame with Suntour Honor RD and Suntour thru out. Everything soft was a goner, seat, tires, and funky cloth bar wrap. Was a fun project to clean and recondition the "perfect" freewheel was a little sticky but a shot of lube and it was spinning like a champ. A lot of cleaning this bike was most likely teen owned back in the day and ridden hard and put away wet. All loose ball bearings in the headset and bottom bracket the headset made for a nice game of hide and seek! Not showroom or anything like that but I'm happy how in turned out.

Bought this from local CL for $40. Drivetrain works fine. Will clean it very good.
Aluminum frame. Carbon fork. Alex rims.

Gitane from what looks like the early 1970s. I've always thought these looked cool and was surprised to find out that they are quite light. I expected a 30 lb bike or so. Pics are as found. Free from CL from someone that was moving. Tires are flat, chain was off, fork is tweaked, but I do love the 70s styling. The big ring on the crank is bent.

I'm not sure what model this is. Fork says Route de France. I don't see that as a model.

Shrevvy, I think that frame might be bent.

I think it's the European market version of the Interclub.
